Hello!  It's your friend, Blondelle Hawkins!  Thought I'd write, to let y'all know what's goin' down in my part of the world.

I am doin'; some days, I'm doin' great; others, not so good.  Yet my God sustains me, as does my faith; I can't imagine my world without God!  It's only by His grace that I have been able to endure some of the things I've had to, like my friend's murder a few months back.

I'm workin' still at Cracker Barrel; have to, in order to provide for my family.  I have no other choice.  If I didn't have any money comin' in, we'd be out on the street, homeless and destitute, and that's no place for anyone to be!

I also have my audition for AGT; I have been accepted to appear on the televised portion of the show!  I am so excited; this could very well be the big break I need in order to jumpstart my (gospel) singing career!  I still want to be a gospel vocalist; some of my heroes include Albertine Walker, Shirley Caeser, and Mahalia Jackson.  If I could sing halfway as good as they do (or did), I'd have it made in the shade! :)

I pray if I get famous I don't lose my head, become worldly.  I still want to keep a good firm foundation, treat my fans, friends, family with respect.  Seems that once someone becomes famous they lose themselves, and they become snobs, and I'm sorry, but that just isn't me!

If I could be nice to my fans, I know they'd be nice to me right back!  It's only right; there ain't no call for rudeness in this world; there's already way too much rude in this world now, and I don't want to add to it!

Well, I am going to go; have to work in a little less than an hour from now.  Sorry this ain't much of an entry, but other than my upcoming tv appearance and workin' to support my family, not much has been going on with me.  I hope you understand.
