Dear Journal~
Bill here, with another update on the status of young Holly, who continues to hang on by a thin thread--and that thread is threatening to unravel. Surprisingly, she continues to fight with the strength of twelve tigers, suprising all who see her.
Prayers have been issued forth from crying lips towards Heaven; I am sure the angels are busy fielding these prayer requests as they take them to Abba-God.
Poor Kendra is worn out; I am worried about her. Yesterday Kia called and she says she is starting to get the headaches again (Kendra has spina bifida; she gets headaches from time to time), and yesterday, she threw her Bible across the room in a fit of anger/frustration. I will have to have my friends (and church) keep her/the family covered in prayer; they really could use a miracle about now!
I can understand where Kendra is coming from: I have been in her position (waiting word on the status of a sick/dying family member) more than once; it's not a very fun place to be.
We still may go to the CMA Music Festival/Fan Fair this weekend; however, we're playing it by ear. It all depends on what happens to young Holly Kent. If she dies, we will cancel our plans and go to the wake/funeral, show our support to the Kent family during this uncertain, scary time in their lives.
If they ever needed anyone, it's now.
I suddenly feel like I'm in my seventies. (Probably look it, too; I haven't had much in the way of sleep, as hasn't Louie.) My joints are screaming verbal assaults, my back is tighter than piano wire, and I know my blood pressure is up. Not good for me to get sick; we certainly don't need this on top of all that's already happened to our friends!
Last night, we went to church; the pastors were sorry to hear that Holly Kent was still unresponsive; they had a special service for her, where everyone lit candles and prayed just about the entire time. The presence of the Lord was so thick you could feel it pressing in, and there was a warm, golden glow in the room; we knew He was there, in the midst of our pain and travailing.
It comforted us; we knew that He was in control. This is something we have to adhere to; there's really nothing anyone can do except lean on Him and trust in Him, fully and completely, as we deal with this crisis at hand.
The fact that Holly is still with us is a miracle; yet things still look very bad. And now we will have to continue to lift Kendra up, pray that God gives her the strength, the peace that passes all understanding, to get through this.
Well, I am going to grab my Bible and continue to read His word, as I pray for a miracle for the Kent family. I will write another time; hopefully we will know more in a day or during the course of several days. Just keep those prayers coming; we (and the Kent family) could really use them! Thanking you in advance~
As always, Bill Sandusky. :(
God bless!
