Dear Journal~
Howdy! This is your friend in Oklahoma, Anh Kim, writing! Hope this finds y'all well!
I am doing well; nothing much to complain about other than having to keep an eye on my stump; been having some redness, and also some soreness, around where the prosthetic leg fits; have to be very careful, so it doesn't cause me any problems.
Other than that, I am fine, and Thu, my wife-to-be (it will be next year, on June 24, 2010, when we get married) treats me like a king. She's one of the best things that could have ever happened to me. I just love her so much! I am indeed blessed!
I just got home from school a while back; I am tired. I am sitting here in the den of my dorm, waiting for Thu, John, Rico, JuJu, Willie, and Karla to arrive; we are going to go out to eat later (probably at Appleby's), then possibly to a movie or something.
Right now, though, I am sitting here, staring at my navel. LOL Nothing much to do until my fiancee' and my friends arrive; then it's par-tay time!! :) (Well, not exactly "par-tay", but we do plan on having a good time without all the booze and other craziness! We don't need that in our lives!)
The weather here has been stormy; we had some doozers yesterday morning. No tornadic cells, but they were still nasty, nevertheless: they dumped over 2" of rain, and we had some serious winds clocking in at over 60 mph. It was pretty interesting!
We also had a lot of frequent lightning and heavy thunder. No damage here, but some places up the road had some roof and structural damage from the high winds.
Today, however, finds a very pretty sunny day, with pristine blue skies, and temperatures flirting around 75-80 degrees, with low humidity levels. Just perfect springtime temperatures; I really wanted to skip school today (but didn't)!
I talked to mama yesterday; or tried to, anyway. No answer. Guess she's busy wrangling with the kiddoes or working. Hopefully nothing's wrong; I always worry when I call and I don't get anything from her! I will have to say a prayer for her, pray she's okay!
Well, JuJu and the gang just arrived; I hear Willie honkin' the horn of his bright green Hummer H2. I will write in here again soon; until then, this is Anh Kim signing off! God bless you and talk to you another time!
