Dear Journal~
Rat-Nose here. Rat-Nose Ratinauer. Hope this finds y'all well; I'm looking forward to Monday, is all I can say. Monday is the last day of school; it can't come soon enough, in my honest opinion!
I am no longer working: boss I worked for got on my ass once too many times; I got fed up, so I threw the towel at him, and walked out, screaming: "I quit"! So now I don't have a job any longer. Not the best thing to do, but I couldn't stand being treated like crapola!
I am young; I can still find another job. There are plenty of restaurant jobs out there; I am sure there are some bosses there who treat their employees with respect!
Ma and pa, they ain't too happy with me, but hey: I told them I am not going to work for someone who treats me like a piece of furniture, even when I do what is expected of me--and more! It's not fair, and it's not right!
In the meantime, I have all summer to find work. Right now, though, I plan on enjoying the weekend and making the most out of it.
Today I am going to go to the park and hang out for a few hours with my friends, maybe get some needed skateboarding time in. I haven't really picked up the board in a while now; don't want to lose my skillz, get rusty. I then may go to the movies; I still have my money from my last check. 'Course I will be broke later, but hey, might as well have some fun in life, ya know?
I get my last check today; 'course, Mr. Woo, the boss (now ex-boss, in my case), won't be happy to see me, but I do have one paycheck comin' to me (that is, unless Mr. Woo decides to be an ass about it and hold it for himself).
I wouldn't put it past him. ;P
I'll have more money, but I am sure ma or pa will want me to put it into the bank. I will put some in, but not all; hey, a guy has got to have some fun!
The weather here is hot, and it's expected to get even hotter. Hey, it's summer in Texas: hot weather is something you've come to expect; it's as normal to us as cold is to Alaska!
Besides skateboarding or hangin' out with my b-boys, I plan on doing a lot of swimming.
Well, ma is up; she wants to use the computer now, so I will run (probably go back to bed). I will write in here again soon; until then, this is the Rat-Man checkin' out! So long and God bless!
