It''s an emergancy visit a fill-in tooth has just been fractured. To make matters worse, the gum surrounding that tooth doesn''t look too good. Sure enough the tooth must be removed. Calling in for an appointment, only to be told, the Dentist of your choice is absolutely booked, and no walk-ins will be allowed. " Wait a minute" says the receptionist, there is another Dentist from out of town that will see you. " Is he as good as the Dentist of my choice? " The reply, '' He is good", accepted.

The visit is at a stressful  and a sorrowful time. Hoping for the best, yet expecting the loss of more teeth, the Dentist does an  examination of the mouth. His touch is very gentle, and giving the prognosis, he is able to save the tooth. He proceeds to preserve the tooth, pausing then to administer two injections. Just the sight of the needles, causes the heart to race at an accelerated speed, being afraid of needles. Yet the touch of the gentle Dentist, and his kind voice of compassion, brings a sense of calm assurance that it is alright. Some how his gentleness impacts you deeply, causing you to focus on Abba Father, reminding you of how He takes care of you during times of despair and great sorrow. It was as if Abba Father was extending His grace and mercy, with compassion through the touch of the gentle Dentist, bringing comfort in sorrow, and hope for stronger healthier gums.

The touch of the gentle Dentist will never be forgotten, with his heart of compassion which he extends to all, will live on. May God our Abba Father bless Dentist every where. Let us not take them for granted, instead show to them our love and appreciation to them, for being a part of our daily lives. With the understanding that the touch of the gentle Dentist is a gift from God. May each person that sits in his chair experience his gentle touch!!!!
