My first love was not a physical person, although I wish He was. I met my first love when I was in college. It was 2002 and I decided to join a Chrisitian sorority. I had begin a consecration and begin to spend more time reading the Word and praying. I felt a gentle breeze in the room while I was reading. I noticed that my windows were closed and the AC was not on. I had two scented candles lit. I then felt a gentle breeze a second time and noticed that the breeze brushed over the candles. As I looked at the candle, I heard a still small voice say 'I am with you.'

It was from this point forward that I fell in love with Jesus. I was not married at the time and had no desire to be married as I was getting to know Jesus in an intimate way. God begin to open up my eyes to who He was and still is. God never changes. Therefore, God and His son, shall always be my first love. He assured me that He was with me and directed me in His word. He showed me that He will never leave me nor forsake me.

SO, I understood that God was with Noah and his family when God recreated the Earth. He saves Noah's family and was with them.

I understand that God was with the Israelites in Egypt when they were in bondage. He heard their cries and sent them a deliverer. He was with them there.

God was with Daniel when he was in the lions den.

God was with Ham, Shem and Japheth when they were thrown in the oven as a fourth person was present.

God was with Peter and John when they were in jail. He sent angles to set them free.

And I know He was with me in college and is with me now. For this reason, God will always be my first love!
