Dear Journal~
Howdy, y'all! Ronee' Reaux here! Wanted to write in here before everyone was up, so I could wish my friends in Cyberspace the happiest, safest, and fun holiday weekend ever!
I won't be on here long; gotta get ready to go to the Red, White, and BOOM! Festival, which is going to be held all day long in downtown Nashville; also gonna see the parade, which starts at 9 a.m. sharp!
I will be performing at 12 noon with my band, "Cajun Spice"; can't wait! I love performing; nothing makes me happier than to see people enjoying what I do! :)
And tonight Loretta Lynn takes to the stage, along with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, as part of the patriotic program prior to one of the largest fireworks displays in the southland. The fireworks that Nashville throws is nothing short of A W E S O M E!!!! The display lasts a good forty five minutes, with over a million dollars worth of shells being detonated; if that doesn't make your ears ring by fireworks' end, then I don't know what will! :)
Toby Keith, Kelly Pickler, and Josh Turner will be sharing the stage with Loretta and the NSO; it will be a hot time in d-town Nashville tonight, and not just from the fireworks! The whole place will be rockin'!! It's going to be great!! :)
The weather has been fantastic since the start of the festival, which started Thursday evening; it went on all day yesterday, runs all day today, and goes on a good part of the day tomorrow. There will be at least 30,000 people in attendance, and possibly even more than that tonight, just in time for the fireworks. The fireworks is always a huge draw.
I don't have to worry so much about getting a sunburn, but I will have to make sure that mom reminds Johnny not to forget the sunburn cream or sunblock. Poor guy, no matter how hard he tries, he just can't seem to get a good tan going! He always ends up getting burned, even with putting sunblock on!
I just hope Ian and Isaiah don't cry when the fireworks go off. They were just little bitty last year at this time; they probably don't remember the fireworks. I know loud noises startle them, as it does Emir; whenever Emir hears fireworks, he cowers and cries. Guess the sound of 'em reminds him of bombs. :( Poor little guy; I feel so sorry for him!
The fireworks don't bother me at all; I've always loved the sound of mortars blasting and watching the multi-colored flowers bloom overhead! Fireworks, to me, are COOL.NESS!!
Well, I am going to feed my face, then get ready after I take my morning round of pills, so I gotta run. I will write in here again in a few days, with a full report on the day's events; stay tuned for that! Until later, this is Ronee' Reaux saying so long, and may you have a wonderful Fourth of July day filled with fun, food, festivities, family, and above all, FIREWORKS!! And above all, please stay SAFE!!
(((HUGZ))) and much luv, your friend in Tennessee, Ronee' Le-Anne. :D
I'm gonna "laissez les bon temps rouler" the day awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay (she says, singing!)!! LOL
