It's me, tu amigo, Arturo Jiminez, here.  Thought I'd write in here, so you know what's been shakin' with me down here in San Antonio, Texas. 

I am doing great!  No escuela, no homework, no worries.  Lovin' summer vacation!  Spend a lot of my days hangin' out with my homeboys, doing things with mi familia, just enjoyin' life. 

Last weekend, a prime example.  We went to the lake, where I and some of mi compadres shot off fireworks and firecrackers.  Thank God nobody got hurt, but Big Ears got his rump warmed when a firecracker landed too close.  It was funny, although poor Big Ears didn't think so!  LOL

We saw a ton of fireworks besides the ones we set off; you could see displays off in the distance, plus the fireworks we shot off and the fireworks the park officianados shot off.  There were a ton of people there; it was great!

They had musica, all kinds:  Cajun, conjunto, ranchero, country, folk, rock, rap, jazz, classical gas:  you name it, and they had it!

We were at the park all day and most of that night.  We ended up getting sunburnt; I'm still pretty pink as I write this entry on my laptop.  At least I'm not hurtin' no more; I been latherin' myself up good with Noxema, which helps.

The weather here in San Antone is blazin' Texas, jalapeno-hot!  Temps in the 100's during the day, upper seventies to lower eighties at night.  Haven't had a really decent rain in almost a week and a half; they're startin' to talk about water restrictions if we don't get some needed moisture here.

Good swimming weather, or at least skateboarding!  (Mami and papi, they have more sense:  they don't go out in the heat of the day.  Guess it's because they're gettin' older.  Me, it don't bother me none. :) )

So other than that, and going to the Alamo a few times, and chillin' out with my homeboys, I haven't done that much this summer.  Maybe next weekend I can try to talk the parents into taking me and mi hermanos y hermanas to Sea World; they got some killa roller coasters we're just dyin' to ride!  Yeah, that sounds like a good plan!  :)
