Hands worn and wrinkled from scrubbing the floors, cleaning the pots and pans. Washing the clothes and ironing, with such excellence. Keeping the home in order. If that was not enough, you even mowed the entire lawn plus you cleaned the windows.

It seemed that you spent so much time in the kitchen preparing meals, and baking many goodies. Yes you helped with homework, and school projects. Then at bedtime you made time to pray with your children. You very sweetly said goodnight and went to the place where, you would always go. There were weeping sounds, it was not known at the time, that the aching heart was propelling you to pray.

Yes mother there were many situations that caused your heart to ache. Yet prayer and the word of God kept you strong, for I always thought that there had to be someone else present with you in that  place. Many times mother you became so sick, and in my heart I knew you would not make it. Yet mother you drew from your faith, and God your Father healed you. Mother you came back home, and gave the household joy. Your heart still ached though, for I heard you praying for the lost, and for all the hurting souls, you had a passion for them. Then suddenly when I did not see it coming, Your aching heart of compassion and love made an exchange. Now your heart aches no more, I know you are rejoicing in the God of your Salvation! Mother souls are giving their hearts to Jesus, and hurting souls are being healed of their hurts.Yes God is using the pain that you bore to reap a harvest for the Kingdom of God.

As I reflect , the tears are flowing for I miss my mother, oh I miss her so, with the understanding that she had to exit. Leaving a legacy of compassion and love for others, and the fervent prayer life that she had. It will forever impact my life!To those of you, who have a mother please honor her, and take the time to show that you really care. For it''s not just on mothers day that she needs your love, it is every day. For one day mother will be gone, cherish the time that you spend with her!
