Dear Journal~

Sarah Wright here.  Sorry for not writing; been busy.  Wayne has been sick, but he is thankfully doing much better now.  His one kidney tried to fail on him; however, we got him to the hospital on time, where doctors and nurses were able to stop it and give him the needed medications.  He's back home after being in the hospital for a week; he's weak, but he's feeling much better.  Now we're watching him like a hawk.

The children are all doing well:  they are getting bored of summer; they can't wait for school to start.  LOL  Guess that means that Promise, Xavi, Mwugu, and Rheese must be driving their older sisters crazy!  LOL  They have been very good at helping me and daddy; we are very proud of them all.

Heard from Louie Sandusky yesterday; she called to tell us that Kendra Mae's daughter, Holly, won't be coming home from St. Jude's Hospital after all:  seems that she's developed a high fever and has slipped into unconsciousness.  The doctors (or anybody else) don't know what is going on, but it has us all scared for her.  We have been on our faces in prayer, praying for yet another miracle for Holly.  Holly has been through so much!

Tried to call Louie just a little while ago; Bill says that she went to Memphis, to be with Kendra.  She'll be there all weekend.  There's been no change, according to the last report that Bill got from Kendra.  Sad!  We will just have to pray harder!

The weather here is hot, but parts of the country have it far worse, with temps in the 100s or even 110s.  That is too hot; I don't think I could handle it!  I know Wayne can't; he gets dehydrated too quickly, and if he's out in the heat for too long, he gets violently sick.  He has to drink tons of water if he's outside or out in public.

Finally heard some news on Rick Callaway, Audrey's husband:  he is going to be okay, but he faces a long recovery.  He was in a bad car accident, suffered numerous contusions, cuts, broken bones.   He will be out of commission for quite a while; I know Audrey must be ready to pull her hair out by the roots by now!  I am relieved; it could have been so much worse!  God was watching out for him, that's all I can say!

As you know, Rick is my brother-in-law by marriage and Audrey is my sister-in-law (his wife).  She talks to Wayne, but they're not close; our relationship with each other is strained at best.  I  pray for them, though; they have had more than their share of heartache as well!

Wayne was working up to the time he landed in the hospital; now he's under a doctor's care (again).  Wayne can't go back to work until Dr. Perlmutter says it's okay; he doesn't want Wayne chancing it, especially since hubby has only been out of the hospital for a few days.  He's still pretty drained, weak, tired.  It's going to take a while for him to build up his strength.  Until then, he is to remain home, except for short trips out of the house or to his scheduled doctor's appointments.

Well, Xavi (Xaviar) and Promise sound like they're about to kill one another, so I am going to deal with it before any blood is spilled.  *Sigh*  A mama's work is never done!  Until later, or until I hear another update regarding Holly Kent, I will write in a few days.  Take care and talk to you soon!
