Howdy from Lake Charles, Louisiana!

My name is Theresa Marie Fontenot; however, my family and those who know me best call me "Teensy".  I am 11 but am very small for my age.  I look more like eight or even younger.  I am very tiny.

Blame that one on my maman's side of the family: most of them are short, whereas papa's family is tall.  I didn't take after them.  :(  Anyways, I live in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where I will be starting the sixth grade in a little over a month from now.

I am a Cajun.  You can tell that right away by my last name.  (D'OH!!)  I am very proud of my Cajun heritage; it makes me unique.  I speak both Cajun French and English; I also speak Spanish, which I plan on taking again this year.  Seems that there's been an influx of Spanish-speakers in our city; I'd like to be able to communicate with them, so this is why I've been taking Spanish.

I am a typical girl.  I love to talk on the phone, visit with my friends or cousins (Trinity MaryGrace Caillier is probably my favorite cousin; she's three years older than me and wants to be a writer when she gets older--that or a musician--; she's really cool!), go to the mall, go rollerskating, dancing, or looking at cute boys  LOL, the colors pink, purple, and grey, and love to watch AGT on television.

I'd love to be able to go on AGT, but the problem is this:  I can't sing.  I know of five year olds who sing way better than me.  I also know of a ten year old autistic kid who sings good.  I don't have the chops to sing; therefore, I write.  Or talk.  LOL

At least I can play the guitar, which is another one of my loves!  I also play piano and organ.  I love music; too bad I can play it and not sing it!  LOLOLOLOL

In addition to the above, I love to visit the old ladies and men at the nursing home every week, as well as help care for my little cousin, Matthew, who lives with us.  He has some sort of disability that makes him unable to walk or speak.  He's like a baby; however, he's a lot smarter than people give him credit for.  He knows what's going on, and he knows how to love and get everyone wrapped around his little finger!

Mattie has taught me about just how blessed I really am, and that people with disabilities (no matter how severe) have feelings and dreams, too!  I just love him to pieces!

I love Cajun and country music.  In Cajun, I love Hunter Hayes (he's so fine!  *drool!*), Belton Richard (he reminds me a lot of my grandpere'), and "Beausoleil".  In country, I adore Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, and LeAnn Rimes.  I like Loretta Lynn, too, but I can take her in small doses; I have to be in the mood to hear her.  :)

She's okay; she's just too country for my liking.  LOL  (My maman adores her; she brainwashed me.  LOLOLOLOL)

Well, I have to help change Mattie, then we're all going out to the local dance hall; Sheryl Cormier and her band are playing tonight, and we don't want to miss it.  We love her too.  I will write in here again soon; until later, this is Teensy Marie Fontenot saying goodbye and God bless!
