Spiritual burn out:  Where is the Love?

One Sunday morning 6 year Jayden banged on her father’s bedroom door forcefully to wake up her father and mother to prepare for church.  “ Daddy you have to get up, you have to wake up daddy” but her father simply replied not going to church baby, daddy tired and tired of church, Jayda replied “but daddy you got to go!”

To the reader of this message:  Daddy was the pastor of the church!

Spiritual burnout: How many ministers and pastors as well as laymen are experiencing this? Sometimes it feels more like prison rather than fellowship. Although Christ came to set the captives free, religion went behind him and bolted the door. Instead of Christ more or less feels like Crisis.  The whole experience feels like obligation rather than dedication to the lord. Or is it to the people or your fellow neighboring Ministers.

Christ is a present a gift to mankind; a box that was opened freely from God to solve the sin problem of humanity. But religion feels like the box in Riker’s Island prison facility that the warden alone has the key for.

The (churched) treat each other like they are competing in a fashion show. The more beautifully fashioned you are the better you will be treated and the closer to the front you will sit.

I seen individuals living a double life but because they looked anointed and dress anointed they were received by man…… as being anointed.

Jesus is saying just like I believe it was Roberta Flax that sang where is the Love you said you give to me as soon as you were free.  Church where is it? Are you combing it at the hair salon, are you driving it, are you wearing it, are you sleeping with it or are you spending it.  Where is the love?

We hug one another in church (sometimes) or just our friends and family.  Where is the love?

Many lie and say that the Lord laid it on my heart to do so and so for (our friends) but we walk past our neighbors that are going through and pretend we don’t see them.

The men a women of God are put on platforms that religion made for them and if they fall no one is there to catch them. Church where is the love???
