Dear Journal~
Terri Ruth here. I am writing to let you know that I am happier than I've been in a very long time. It seems Yeshua has granted us another miracle: we are going to be getting not one, but two children, the little boy from India we'd been trying to adopt (Mordechai Daniel), as well as a little pink-cheeked cherub from Russia, whom we will call Alyssa Grace! So our little family is going to grow by two!
Soon we will have four children: one little girl, and three beautiful little guys. As you can imagine, Hyman and Wallace, our two boys we have now, are excited, so excited, in fact, they are almost hyper! LOL Already they are asking when Mordie is coming; we tell them to be patient, it won't be for a couple of months yet; they have to make sure all is okay with him before he is cleared to come to America!
That can't be soon enough, in their eyes. LOL
As for the girl, the boys could care less; they're much more interested in Mordie. LOL
It will be nice to have a little girl to have around the house. Ever since Nashi died back in March, I have always wanted to have another girl, or adopt a girl. Now her outfits we have left over will be used by Alyssa. We will tell Alyssa about her sister, so she can get to know about her and love her as much as we did when Nashi was alive.
Mordechai does have a cleft palate and lip; as a result, his little face is deformed. I am sure he has problems eating and talking. We may have him undergo surgery, to make life easier for him, so he won't be ostracized any more than he probably has already. He is a beautiful little boy with knowing, big, brown eyes and a headful of thick, wavy blue-black hair; he is absolutely gorgous!
As for Alyssa, she is as blonde and fair as her brother is dark of eyes, hair, skin. She and Mordie are total opposites of each other. She is one year older than Mordie, perfectly healthy except for having three fingers on her left hand. She's missing her thumb and pinky finger; she was born like that.
We have been busy getting the room ready for our soon-to-be children. It is a very exciting time in our lives; Tovah, my husband, has taken some time off work so he can get things ready for when they do come; we will also have that adjustment period where we will all get to knowk each other and help the newcomers settle into their new life in America and get to know us, their new family.
Finances right now are hard; however, we know that, with Yeshua's help, we will get through the lean times; we already are blessed in knowing that He's given us two new miracles to love.
Well, the phone is ringing, so I will go for now. I will write in here again another day. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long before Mordechai and Alyssa arrive! Oh, this is surely an awesome thing to have happen to us! Yeshua is wonderful! Praise His holy name!!
