Colbie Colbert here.  Thought I'd write to you, to let y'all know how we are doing.

Unlike my past journal entry, we are doing great.  My daughter, Kaitlyn Ashley, has recovered from her latest medical crisis (tachycardic heart rate) and is enjoying renewed health.  It's as if she is a completely different child, which pleases me greatly.  It is so good to see her being so happy!

Diamond and Granger, our other two children, enjoy playing with their sister.  Diamond loves showing her how to do things, and Granger, her baby brother, enjoys it when she plays with him, or blows bubbles on his tummy; he laughs each and every time!

The weather here is hot; nothing new.  This is Louisiana.  You're expected to be hot here.  Granger and Diamond did see the fireworks at the park (thank, in kind, to MaMaw and PePaw; they took them); they really enjoyed themselves, according to MeMaw.  As for my husband and myself, we spent July Fourth at the hospital, where we sat with Kaitie; I know she was disappointed at having to miss out on the fireworks, but she felt so bad, the poor dear!

I am looking forward to September, which is next month, believe it or not.  Diamond will be in the second grade, and Kaitlyn will be in kindergarten.  The only one who will remain home with me is Granger; he's too little to go to school:  he's just a baby.

It will be nice to have the girls gone; that way, I can spoil Granger to death!  LOLOLOLOL

And when Di and Kaitie are in school, I can actually go to the park with Granger, and meet other moms instead of having to stay at home all the time!  Husband works all the time, so I hardly ever see him excepting on weekends, and then he sleeps in most of that time!  (sighhhh!)

I'm also looking forward to September becuase it signals the start of fall; soon, cooler weather will arrive.  I am getting sick of this Louisiana heat; maybe I need to move to Alaska because ever since I am getting older, I find that the heat bothers me more than it used to.  (I'm 39 now; I'll be 40 next year.)

All of a sudden, cold weather sounds very appetizing to me! :)

I might freeze my little (coon)ass off, but hey, I don't care!  As long as I get out of the oven I call Louisiana, I'll be happy!!  LOLOLOLOLOL

I'm sure the kids could adapt to living in a place like Alaska:  make new friends with some polar bears, or perhaps some Innuit children.  :)  Maybe they can learn to hunt for a seal or make their own clothes.  *grins*

Or learn about the Northern Lights.  I have seen the Lights only in pictures or on television; they look mighty fascinating!  I'd love to see the aurora borealis in real life; I think that would be awesome!

Well, Granger has awakened from his nap; he's starting to fuss.  He's been asleep for the past two hours; I think it's time to wake him up, get him up for a while.  I have to tend to the baby, so I will go for now.  I will write in here another day with another update on Kaitlyn Ashley, Granger, and Diamond.  Take care and God bless!
