Weds., Aug. 19, 2009, Nashville, TN., 6:12 a.m., D.S.T.~

Fall is definitely in the air.  Days are growing shorter, school sales are in full swing, and at night there is a bit of a hint of a chill in the air sometimes.  And parents across this nation are in a full-scale countdown, as they count the days to when their children will start school.  LOL

Here in Nashville, school doesn't start for a few weeks yet, so we're trapped.   LOL  Summer vacation is still on until the day after Labor Day.

Wayne here.  Wayne Wright.  I am doing okay; not great, but at least I'm not in the hospital (again!!) or getting worse, so that's an answer to prayer.  Still on the oxygen, the extra meds; Dr. Jagadish thinks I might have incurred some lung damage from the last bout of pneumonia I had; they are weak, and any little thing can set them twitching like a nervous cat.  Great.  Another health issue to contend with, and a rather serious one.

I may have to give up my job in a few years, at the rate I'm going.  I pray not, but if this is the case, so be it.  God must have something better in mind for me.

Sarah has been wonderful as both wife and caretaker, plus she is an awesome mother.  She takes such good care of our brood, and when I'm sick, they do their best to try to make me feel better, even Rheese, our youngest.  I know it's been hard on him, having a daddy who can't roughhouse with him, like most daddies, but he is still a charming little guy!  He's grown so much!

Promise Hope was cute the other day:  she was wearing some of Sarah's jewelry and makeup, pretending to be a princess.  She kept prissing about the livingroom, saying, "Look at me!  I'm special!  I'm pretty!"  She looked so carefree and innocent I couldn't help but laugh.

Sarah said she looked like a circus clown.  LOL

I guess you can say she had a little makeup on.  Okay, more than a little; she slathered it on, thick and furious!  LOLOLOLOL

I am happy to say Pastor Bilkey and members of the church's evangelical team returned home from Kenya, Africa, safe and sound.  When they appeared at church the Sunday after they got back, the entire place erupted into cheers and wild applause.  Oh, Pastor Jones, one of the assistant pastors, did a great job; however, nobody can hold a candle to how Pastor Bilkey, our senior pastor, preaches!  When he preaches, he PREACHES!!

Our church is gearing up for some activity in the coming months.  The fall editions of Home Teams (small group ministry) and Cleansing Stream.  The Harvest Festival.  "Heaven's Gates And  Hell's Flames".  Some more concerts lined up.  (The Kevin Spencer Family.  Karen Peck and "New River".  Brian Free and "Assurance".)  Yes, even the pastor will have to take another vacation, just to recover from all of the extra activities that will be going on!  LOL

And that's not even counting the auditions/rehearsals for the Christmas Cantata, feeding the Veterans on Veteran's Day, feeding the homeless/Veterans on Thanksgiving Day, and saluting the Veterans on the Sunday before Veteran's Day!

People still drop by to see me.  They miss me at work and at church.  Well, the feeling's mutual.  I miss them too.  Still going to my danged doctors' appointments religiously (as if I have a choice????), and once in a while, a jaunt to one of the local restaurants (have to watch my salt content!), or perhaps a movie; however, most of the movies out there are ones I'm just not interested in.  Too much gore, blood, gratuitous sex, or foul language.  Not exactly my cup of tea.

Give me the old classic movies anyday!!

Well, I'm getting sleepy again, so I am going to stop writing.  I will write again one day, hopefully when I'm feeling a little stronger.  Until then, this is Wayne Wright saying so long; just keep those prayers coming!  I could really use a touch from the Master in regards to my health situation!  Thank you in advance!
