Dear Journal~

Jenna Aurora Doucet here.  I am happy, but very tired.  Still getting over my "sea legs"; I still feel like I am on that darn boat!!

I guess that cruise was the tonic I needed.  Had been feeling frazzled, trying to raise two very active little boys; Michael and I needed a break.  Well, we got that break, and now we are both refreshed, feel like we can tackle whatever life dishes out at us.

We went to Mexico:  Playa del Carmen and Cozumel, right on the Mexican Riviera.  It was absolutely amazing:  aqua-green water as clear as glass, so clear, you could see the fish or other creatures of the water swimming around.  White sandy beaches.  Suntanned bodies flopping about on towels or running around happily on the beachfront.  The sounds of the ocean lapping the shore.  Cries of seagulls piercing the air.  Hot sunshine beaming down on you.  Oh, it was perfect, my friends, perfect!!

We went shopping; got myself and Michael (as well as the boys) tee-shirts.  Books in Spanish and English.  Toys for the kids.  I just know they are going to go nuts over the maracas and the pulltoys; thank God I won't be able to hear the toys or the boys squealing with sheer joy!  We also got some pesos to pass out to friends and maps, brochures about Mexico (also to share with friends).

Jerrica, my sister, was right:  Mexico is a beautiful place.  Very friendly people who were more than willing to show you their world.  Sweet-smelling, clear air that smelled of flowers and fresh foods.  Wonderful attractions or events to partake in.

My husband loved the Mexican music; he held me in his arms as he did his version of the cha-cha; I was worried he might drop me.  LOL  I couldn't hear it; I wished for a moment that I could have; have heard from people that it is a most happy, joyous sound!

Too bad the cruise didn't last as long as we would have liked:  just when it seemed the cruise started, it was soon time to head back to the plane and fly back home.  Maybe we will do it again, but we plan on making it a longer cruise:  like maybe two weeks.  Yeah, that would be more of what I would prefer!  :)

I just thank God Michael or I didn't get "Montezuma's Revenge" or get sick after eating all that spicy Mexican cooking!  That would have ruined the trip for sure!  The only problem I had was getting seasick, but it wasn't too bad, especially after Michael got me the seasick patches.  They helped tremendously; I was soon a new woman, and enjoyed the rest of our cruise without any more problems!

I have gained some weight while on the cruise:  my clothes are tighter on me.  Time to break out the exercise equipment!  And Michael, he has a little paunchy belly going, too!  LOL  Looks like a keg of beer has made permanent residence in his abdominal area!  LOL

Well, the light is flashing; one of the boys must need me.  I will write in here again soon; I just had to tell you we made it back from Mexico alive, and that already we are thinking of doing it again!  :)  Take care and may God bless you always!

~Love, Jenna Aurora.  :D
