We are so blessed.

We have adopted a beautiful little girl from China into our family; she is the light of our lives.

We adopted Cassidi-Lee Suan about six months ago; she's turned the family on its ear (in a good way).  She is an enchanting little ham, smart as anything, and is learning new English words every day.

We had applied to adopt a child from China over two years ago; it took a long time to go through the process.  For a while we were beginning to grow frustrated:  there were times we didn't think we would ever get her.

Than came The Call, the call that was to change our lives forever.  When the lady on the other end told us that the adoption had been approved and that Cassidi-Lee would soon be ours, we cried tears of joy and happiness.  It was the best news in the world; it felt like Christmas, our birthday, July Fourth, and Easter all at once.

It was absolutely wonderful!!

Six months ago, in April, Cassidi-Lee (then called Xuan Li) came.  We met her at the airport; there was a whole gang of us:  me, my husband, our three daughters (what was another girl being added to the family??), grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins.  I'm sure the sight of all these people intimidated little Xuan Li; at the sight of us, she buried her face in the lady-in-charge's arm and cried from fright.

She was gorgeous.

Xuan had short, silken black hair that stuck straight up, huge, obsidian eyes, a tiny snub for a nose, and a round, pumpkin face.  She was a rather chubby child; the extra clothes she wore only made her appear rounder.

It took a while, but soon Xuan (now renamed Cassidi-Lee by my husband) got used to her new surroundings.  She turned from shy, sullen tot to outgoing Miss Personality:  she was a lively, vibrant child who grasped life by the horns.

I am happy to say that Cassidi-Lee is perfectly healthy.  No sign of defect or disability.  She is absolutely perfect; we couldn't be more pleased.

Now we have four beautiful daughters.  Cassidi-Lee Suan, aged four.  Crysta Joy, aged six.  Courtni Grace, aged seven.  And finally, Cora June, aged nine. 

We couldn't be more happier than we are right now.  Life is indeed perfect.  We are a complete family.
