"I wish I could have dropped HIM on his head, after what he did to my baby son...."

A woman copes with the fact that her comatose infant son might die or end up brain damaged because her boyfriend "accidentally" dropped him (or so he claims).

Right now I am so angry I can hardly think, let alone, see straight.

I have been at the bedside of my beautiful baby boy, Roderick Kendall, who now lies in a coma here at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital here in Nashville.  He's been in a coma ever since TaShawn (my boyfriend) dropped the baby.

That's what he said.  He said it was an accident.

I don't know about that.  TaShawn has never really liked my child; he said he's nothing but a big waste of time.

Yeah, time away from him.

Somehow, I think TaShawn did it on purpose, just so's he could get Roderick to stop crying all the time.

Now, Roddy lies in a bed, tubes attached to him, monitors recording his lifesigns.  Doctors and nurses bustle around him, trying to get some response from him or doing their medical procedures on him, anything to try to get him to wake up.  Nothing.

Roddy lies there, in extremely critical condition; doctors really don't hold out much hope for a full recovery.

At best, doctors keep saying that Roderick might end up severely brain damaged, blind, deaf, mute, unable to walk, think, or do anything for himself.  Or they say he might pull through, but he may have some lingering disabilities.  How severe, that's yet to be determined:  they would know more if Roderick "came to" and opened up his eyes.

I wish nothing more than TaShawn to be dead, or at least dropped on HIS head.  I wish I could have dropped HIM on his head, after what he did to my baby son!

Roddy should be laughing, playing, discovering the world around him, not lying in some go*damned hospital crib, tubes attached to him, fighting for every inch of his little life!!

As you can imagine, TaShawn is in jail waiting for someone to post bond.  Well, it sure as hell ain't gonna be ME.  Let the motherfucker rot in jail, for all I care!  He nearly killed my son!!  I hope he gets charged for attempted murder; this isn't the first time he's tried to do bad things to Roddy!!

If he thinks I am going to see him in jail, he's got another thing coming.  If I do see him again, it will be in court, where I will have him charged with endangerment to a child, attempt of child abuse, premeditated murder, and emotional/mental distress for both Roddy and myself:  he's put us through more hell than you will ever know.

Well, the doctors want to talk to me again about Roddy, so I will go.  Just keep me in your thoughts; we really could use some hope here!!  Right now, things are not looking very good for my baby boy!

Thanks in advance!

~Sincerely, Jaylene Jones, Roderick's mother.  :(  *tears!*

A very sad and sick individual is TaShawn. Jaylene sounds like a poor judge of character, and has apparently made other poor choices in her life. All too common these days for the children to suffer for it. Patrick
