Sorry if I haven't written in a long while; just got out of the hospital last week.  Had some minor surgery done on my jaw; that went well, I'm happy to say, but then just when I'd been pronounced well enough to go home, I ended up with the swine flu.  I ended up staying an extra week-and-a-half.

I was sick for over a week; I am still not feeling my best.  Oh, I feel a lot better, it's just that I am as weak as a wet teabag.  I think a newborn kitten has more strength than I do! 

Talk about weak.ness!!

Whoever thought that I would end up with that piggy flu??  I didn't have any ham or bacon lately!  (And in case, you're wondering, no, I didn't oink or grow a piggy-tail outta my butt!)

Well, I did have the swine flu, and it nearly knocked the stuffin' out of me.  It is going to take a while for me to get over the last dredges of it (the coughing, minor sniffles, remaining chest congestion), not to mention, my strength.  I won't probably return to school until next week, the way things stand now.

Up until I got sick, I was doing well, other than waiting to have my jaw surgery.  Then, while in the hospital, I started feeling horrid (bad diarrhea, severe nausea, plus the usual flu symptoms); when doctors tested me, it was found I had the swine flu.  Instant isolation!  I was not amused, especially since I was slated to go home in a few days!  I had to stay longer than planned!

Now the kids are going to call me "Porky Pig"  Or they'll be afraid to get by me once they find out I had it!!

I have since gotten the flu shot, the one to prevent swine flu, so I don't get it again!!

Once was more than enough!  I was sicker'n a dawg!!

I would go outside, but it's raining (again; our area's been under a flash flood watch; it's rained just about every day), and my parents don't want me to go outside, in case I should have another relapse.  So I'm relegated to the confines of my room (and my bed).

Since I won't be at school this week, I can try to amuse myself and concentrate on trying to get my strength back.  Hopefully next weekend I'll be well enough to go to band practice (I play the drums) or at least go to church next Sunday!  I hope so!!

Ma tells me not to rush things; she said I could have easily died hadn't the doctors treated me so fast once I got sick!!  Suddenly my jaw surgery seems like a walk in the park!  The swine flu was nasty!!  I was going from both ends; it was awful!!  All I wanted to do was die, I felt so bad!!

Well, I am tired again, so I am going to go back to sleep.  Hopefully when I am feeling a lot better I will write a longer journal entry.  Now you know what's been up with me.  Things haven't been so good, as you can plainly see, but they're on the up and up!
