What is going to become of us?  What does the future hold?  How many more people are going to die??

This is Wendy Eagan writing.  I'm the one who wrote the other day when I first heard about the moon.  Ever since, the country (even the world) has been in a state of devastation and disarray.

The other day, when we were under storm watches, we didn't think anything would happen because when they were issued, the skies were clear, with nothing but a few cirrus clouds.  About an hour later, it clouded up, and the storms came, throwing grapefruit (and larger) sized hail, muiltiple tornadoes, and winds in excess of 100 mph.  It was scary!!

All we could do was hide in our basement and listen to the pounding hail, rain, and wind, and pray that our house would hold.  It did, but we had damage to our trees and our shed was blown over.  The power was out, too, for several days; we had to do everything by candlelight.

We are still being made to stay indoors because of possible asteroid strikes.  We saw some last night, streaking across the sky; they looked a lot like meteors, but they were bigger and faster. 

At last count, over 4,000,000 people have perished as the result of storms, tidal waves (tsunamis), earthquakes, excessive heat (or cold), or sickness.  It's worse than the wars going on at the current time.  It's really frightening!

I never realized just how dark the skies are without the moon hanging in it; now the skies are pitch black; I never realized just how many stars there were!  Now we see billions of stars, even asteroids or meteors; and even the northern lights, which have been nothing but spectacular, even though we don't live in Alaska.  (We live in Illinois.)

The power has been acting weird:  it stays on for a while, then it goes out.  Then it comes back.  It's really freaky.

When people do get out, they run the risk of being arrested, but what do they do when they need food or need to go to the hospital?  It doesn't make any sense whatsoever!!

I haven't been to school ever since this happened; I miss my friends!  I wonder if any of them are okay; I am worried about them!  I have tried to call them, but the phonelines are down, as is the Internet, so I can't e-mail them or chat with them!  I can't even text-message them!

Now the weather is getting weirder.  It's October, but we're under blizzard warnings: up to 3-6' of snow can fall by this time tomorrow.  Great!  More worries!  We're experiencing frigid temps, with highs in the single digits, and lows in the minus teens.  Brrrrr!!  It's okay for December or January, but not now!  All the pumpkins will freeze, and then we'll have no jack-o-lanterns for our Hallowe'en parties this year!!

Well, the power is acting like it's going to go out again, so I'd best go before it croaks.   I will write in here again soon with more post-moon news; until then, this is Wendy saying so long!  Say a prayer for us; we could really use God's help about now!  Thanks in advance!
