Dear Journal~

Tank G. here.  Hope y'all don't mind my writing in here; when you're sick like I have been, I have nothing much to do except get better and stay in bed.

Have the swine flu.  It really kicked me in the tail.  I wasn't in the hospital, thank goodness; however, I feel like ca-ca, if you know what I mean.  Between the coughing, chest congestion, and whatnot, I have been miserable!

I have been taking Tamiflu; it's starting to help a little.  Steffi has it too, but she didn't get it nearly as bad as I did.  She's recovering, too.

I heard that some of Steffi's brothers and sisters had swine flu as well as the general flu.  In fact, eight of her brothers and sisters ended up in the hospital; most are now back home, where they continue to recover.  I hope nobody else in her family gets it; I have been praying for her family, for God to keep them healthy.

I passed my Theology final, much to my surprise.  I'm deffo on my way to becoming a full-fledged man of the cloth.  I still want to pastor my own church when I get out of school.  Now I'm in Bible History, which is just about as hard of a course I've taken thus far; I thought Theology was hard.  Pfft!  Theology has nothing on Bible History!

Theology was a Mickey Mouse course compared to this course!!  LOL

I'm also studying about evolution and other religions besides Christianity; I have a full course load this semester.

Steffi is doing well in her studies as well; she still wants to teach children with special needs.  (Guess all those brothers and sisters who have disabilities helped steer her towards her decision!  She already has the experience; she'd make a great teacher! :) )

The weather here in Fort Worth has been lousy until today.  Now as I write this it is crystal clear; nary a cloud in the sky as the sun sinks below the horizon.  It will soon be dark; the days are definitely getting shorter, and the trees are just starting to change colors.  We had a lot of rain lately; think I'm turning into a duck!  I have webbed feet!  *Quack!*  LOL

Speaking of ducks,  I have a pet duck here at my dorm.  Name's Quackers.  I'd like to get a duck mate for my male duck, name her Cheese.  (Get it?  Cheese 'n' Quackers.  LOL  A little 'duck humor' here.  Very little ...  LOL)

My duck is all white with a bright orange bill and feet.  He's our guard duck; if any suspicious activity arises, all he has to do is start quacking loudly and flapping his wings; he doesn't miss a trick!  LOL

I am going to lie back down, take another nap, so I can get over this darn piggy flu.  I just don't understand something:  how can we have swine flu?  We haven't been around any piggies!  That's nuts!!
