Howdy, folks! It's just li'l ol' me, Lindsay Maureen Bauer, poppin' in for a spell; hope y'all don't mind!
I have my good days as well as the bad. Some days I feel like I can conquer the world (cane, wheelchair, and all!); on other days it is all I can do to drag my happy a** out of bed! LOL
Still working here at Nashville Memorial Hospital (here now; just got here about five minutes ago; still tryin' to wake up! LOL Coffee! Coffee! I need my coffee!!!!); work today and tomorrow, off the weekend. That's how it usually is for me; once in a while, I do pull in a weekend, but not often, thank goodness.
I am with my roomie/best friend/caretaker, Tracey; she and I are as close as ever. She is doing well too; she got her hair cut really short; it really looks adorable on her. She also had it colored; its' now a berry-red color (about the color of this font); it really looks great on her! My hair is about the same, although it's gotten longer: it falls to just below my shoulders.
Besides working or going to church twice a week, our lives remain about the same. No really big changes. *Sigh* What I wouldn't give to go on a vacation (preferably on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera or perhaps, a cruise to Alaska!): we need to get away from the boring, humdrum life we lead! LOL
Work has been crazy, especially with all the new admits we've had at Nashville Mem: there's been a huge increase in flu patients; this swine flu (as well as the regular, standard flu) have been hittin' people like a ton of bricks! Some days I don't get off of work until 8 or 9 in the evening--and that's after going in at 7 a.m. in the morning!! Some days I am so wiped, I can barely keep my eyes open, especially on the days where my PMA is acting up, rearin' its ugly head!!
While I don't personally see the patients, I do see their charts; it seems that lately there's more in my inbox than in my outbox! *sighhhh*
I am glad to have a job; I'm not complaining, mind you, but dang, it's getting past the point of ridiculous!!
The weather here has been okay: not great, but tolerable. It's supposed to rain this evening through tonight: cold front expected to pay us a visit; then we cool down to the lower eighties, which will feel nice; for the past few days we've been in the upper eighties/lower nineties, which is warm for this time of year.
The leaves are just about at their peak performance as I write this: really stunning!! I love fall; it's so beautiful!!
Well, it's about time for me to clock in (another day, another dollar!), so I will go. I will write in here again soon; sorry it's been a while! Take care, and may God bless you always!
