Dear Journal~
Michiko Osaka here. Sorry if I haven't written; I've moved. I am now living with my fiance', Kaz (Kazuhiko Nagasaki). Have been here a few weeks, still trying to get used to finding my way around.
I figured Osaka (my dog) and myself needed some company, so.....
Actually, it was Kaz who brought the idea up. He said it wasn't safe for a single, blind woman to be living by herself; I told him I'd managed to get by this far; he wouldn't hear of it. So now I have a roomie besides my dog. LOL
Not to mention, a new place to live.
Am back at work; feels good to be earning a paycheck again! It just doesn't go very far, not after the bills are paid. I am lucky if I have more than $50-100 per month!!
It's a good thing Kaz works as well; otherwise we'd both be in the poorhouse about now!
I can tell fall is in the air: it's cooler most mornings, and the days don't last as long. The sun is below the horizon before seven thirty. I also can smell the odors of cinnamon cider, pumkins, fallen leaves, etc. I love this time of year; it's just too bad I can no longer see the colors!! I miss that most of all, I think!
Fall has always been my favorite time of year. I also love winter; the snow has a peculiar odor, and everything smells so fresh after a heavy snowfall! I love the sting of coldness on my face/cheeks, and I love the smell of wood burning in the fireplace!
We are getting ready for Hallowe'en: been stocking up on candy for the little urchins when it is time to pass out Hallowe'en goodies, and Kaz tells me he's been putting up the lights and other decorations on the house. Bet it looks nice!
When it comes to holidays, especially ones like Hallowe'en, he's like a little kid in a candy store! LOL
Soon it will be Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Busy times ahead for not only us, but families all across the nation!
We might go to the Harvest Festival at Christ Community Assembly of God church; we haven't decided yet. It used to be one day; now it's spread out over two. Guess they had to expand; that church's really grown like gangbusters!!
Several people who go to that church have invited us; we might take up their offer. Better than staying home, twiddling our fingers!
I smell steak and fried potatoes cooking, so that means one thing: supper!! LOL I will write in here again soon; until then, this is Michiko saying so long! Talk to you later!
