Mark Ratinauer (aka "Rat-Nose") here.  Thought I'd update y'all on what's been going on with me; last time I wrote, it was back in July.  July 14 or 15, I think it was.

Well, I am back at school now (school remains about the same:  it totally sucks!), and I am so glad it's Friday:  I plan on sleeping in the entire weekend, if I see to it.  'Course, my parents will probably have other ideas:  like raking the yard, getting rid of the weeds, etc., etc.  Anything to ruin my fun or my plans!  GRRR!!

The weather has finally broken here.  It was hot until two months ago; then came the rains.  O, boy, did it ever!!  Twenty inches of rain for September and October!!  It was nuts!!  For a while there, I thought I would have to travel by pirogue to get around, there was so much water!!  LOL

Now it's sunny and nice, temps in the middle to upper 70's.  I can live with that.  Perfect skateboarding weather.  When it's nice like this, I can stay out all day, especially if I don't have any school.  :)

It's supposed to be nice until Sunday afternoon, when a cold front pays us a visit; then we can get some storms until early the next day.  As long as it's not when I'm outside or wanting to do something, then that's okay.  :)  And as long as they don't go tornadic, I can live with that, too.  :)

Especially since there's no freeeeeekin' basement or shelter to go to here!  That's past the point of insane!  I think if y'all live in Tornado Alley, it ought to be mandatory for people to provide at least some sort of shelter to go to when tornadoes or large hail (or damaging winds) threaten our area!!

I have been busy looking for a new job.  My last one didn't pan out.  Nobody's hiring, and with Christmas coming up with a quickness, that's not good!  Or maybe they are hiring, they're just not hiring everyone off the street.  They're being awful' picky on who they choose; it's a pain in the butt!!  Ma and pa, they keep raggin' me to keep looking; I do, every day, after school, for a few hours, and nothing's come up yet!  Very frustrating!!

Christmas.  *Sigh*  Seems like only yesterday when Christmas was the last thing on my mind; now all of a sudden, it's all I can think about.  What I want, what I can get my parents for Christmas.  Or my stupid older sister, Gloria, who will probably come home and act like the Wicked Witch of the West.  LOL  (No, we still don't get along; she's one of the biggest thorns in my side!!)

Tonight, after dark, if I don't have any homework to do,  I plan on looking for meteors.  The Taurids are out; they ("they" being the space people) say to look for fireballs in the sky.  You can't miss 'em.  They may be few (as many as five an hour), but once you see 'em, you'll know it.  Just gotta know where to look, I guess.

I was going to be in the Christmas Cantata at my church, but I got kicked out of the choir.  Tone deaf.   Can't sing.  Don't know why I even bothered to try out; that was one of the stupidest things I have ever done.  When I opened my mouth, choir director turned all red in the face, and she yelled at me; she said for me never to come back, as I couldn't sing.  No kiddin'.  A bullfrog or an elephant could sing way better than me, the Rat-Nose!!

So no Christmas Cantata for me.  Maybe that's a good thing??  LOL  It's also good I don't have to get up in front of a bunch of people and torture them with my voice.  LOLOLOLOL

Well, I am going to run.  Bus due to come in about fifteen minutes; want to get to the bus stop, so I don't miss it, like I've been known to do; then I have to grab my cell and call ma to take me to school, which really drives her past the point of craziness!  I will write in here again another time, like hopefully before Christmas!  LOL  I will talk to you then; until later, this is Mark ("Rat-Nose") Ratinauer signing off!  Take care!
