"It's getting to be pretty scary around here with that young menace running afoot!"
Young Pinkie Mae continues to disrupt people's (and animals') lives.
More and more animals around our neighborhood are disappearing; when they are found, they are found to be strangled to death. It's getting to the point to where we don't want to let our animals out at night, for fear what may happen to them.
And little Pinkie Mae Overton, the neighborhood brat, is acting weirder and weirder with each day that goes by. She still refuses to admit that she's the one who is doing the killings; when you see her sweet little face and sparkly personality, one can't help but forgive her. And that's wrong because it is obvious that this child has some deep-seated emotional problems that need to be dealt with as soon as possible.
I, for one, plan on getting to the bottom of this. Tomorrow I am going to go to see her parents, and see what is exactly going on in that child's life to cause her to act so inappropriately. Little girls should be having fun, playing, not killing helpless little animals or trying to drown little baby brothers!
I am beginning to dislike Pinkie. I see her, and I can't help but get a sinking feeling in the pit of my gut. She may look sweet and innocent, but she's everything except that. She is a brat with a capital B. She is causing people grief by killing their animals; what's worse is that she seems to have no sense of remorse after she's killed the animal. She just goes about her business: plays for a while, then when the urge strikes, she goes and manages to choke the lily-livered life out of a innocent little animal who didn't do a thing to this little monster in human form.
I wonder if she is being abused or molested in any way. Anything is possible in that family. The parents don't care, and they refuse to admit that their oldest child has a definite problem. We hardly see them outside; if anyone is outside, it's Pinkie, who is usually by herself, when she should be under supervision. She is only a little girl of six; someone needs to be watching out over her!
I'd best lock my doors or windows; don't want the little terror climbing in and trying to get my mama cat all over again! It's getting to be pretty scary around here with that menace running afoot!
This is scary, Karen. It might be a good idea to see if someone can speak to someone at her school to see if Pinkie could be questioned by someone at school to see what might be goin on her life. Very interesting, well written story.

Possible the best for that child will be the Social Services and a psychological evaluation before is too late. She had cross wiring getting older and hard to fixed if left alone.
You wonder why the police haven't been called; why this child, who has been proven to harm animals, hasn't been reported. I look forward to seeing what's causing her to act out in this terrifying manner. Well penned, Karen.
Boy, that would be scarey. It will be interesting to see how this story develops. My hope is that they find out what is causing it and she gets help.It could also be something physically wrong also. Maybe something wring with her brain. Anyway- great story.
