Howdy from Texas!!

It's me, Kata Danae' Fitzhugh!  Sorry if I haven't written in here; been busy singing, going to school, and having fun!  :)

I have been singing at some seriously big Oprys here in Texas:  the Grapevine Opry here in Grapevine.  The Johnnie High Country Music Revue in Arlington.  The Wylie Opry in Wylie.  And even the Alvin Opry in Alvin, which is near Houston.  I feel like a big star; I feel like I could be the next Loretta Lynn! :)

Mama and daddy are proud of me, and also my brothers Kasey and Kentucky, and my sister Kaylie, who also sing with me.  We have ourselves a family bluegrass country band, and people say we're pretty good; in fact, people say we should be on "America's Got Talent" next year! :)

I am in the first grade now; school is a lot of fun!  I love my teacher, Miss Penny, and Rachel Paxton, my best friend, and I love to play together during recess!  We also sit together at lunchtime.

I am doing very well in school, learning my words, more numbers, and even learning some Spanish and French words.  School is cool; I love it so  much!!

Maybe one day if we make it good at America's Got Talent, we can end up singing at the Grand Ole Opry, which is  the biggest of the big Opry shows in Nashville, Tennessee!  That would be awesome; Loretta Lynn, Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, and all the big name stars have sung there; I'd love to stand on the same spot where Loretta Lynn sang "Coal Miner's Daughter"!  That'd be a dream come true !!

I got to meet some of the people from America's Got Talent this summer.  They came here to Texas to do a show, and we got to go.  I saw Neal E. Boyd, Eli Mathasan, Queen Emily, Nuttin' But Strings, David Militello, Kaitlyn Ashley Maher, and others.  I got to meet them before the show, and best of all, I got to get their autographs AND get my picture taken with them!  It was sooo exciting!!

They were all so nice, especially David Militello and Kaitlyn Maher!  Kaitlyn's just a little older than me, but she can sing good!  She sings like an angel!  And David, he sings like Michael Jackson; he's GOOD!  And he's cute; I wouldn't mind having him as a boyfriend!  :)

We had a good Hallowe'en.  For Hallowe'en, I was a gypsy lady.  Nobody knew it was me when I had on my fancy clothes.  It was funny fooling the people!  LOL  I got lots of treats (but no tricks), and we went to the children's Haunted House, which isn't nearly as scary as it sounds.  We also went on a hayride and listened to some scary ghost stories.

Now it is going to be Thanksgiving next week (next Thursday), which means we only have school for three days.  Then on Friday, the day after, mama and daddy are taking us kids to see SANTA CLAUS!!  I can't wait!!  I am going to tell him I want a pony or a new fiddle for Christmas!!  That's what I want most of all:  a pony, then a new fiddle.  My old fiddle is busted:  Kasey sat on it; I was soooo mad!!  So was mama and daddy!!

That was the fiddle I played on the Opry shows!!  It was my favorite; my granpy gave it to me last year for my fifth birthday!  (I'm now six.)
