Dear Journal~

Sheniqua Williams here.  Thought I'd write to let y'all know what's shakin' in my life.  If anything's shakin' right now, it's my knees:  Cordavious Milsap, my honey, just proposed marriage to me!!  I am going to get married.  MARRIED!!!!

He preposed to me last weekend.  I've been ridin' higher than the clouds ever since!!  :)  I am so happy I can't seem to get this grin off my face!!

We will probably get married sometime next year, in 2010!!  So sometime next year I will then become Mrs.  Sheniqua Milsap!  No longer will I carry the Williams name 'less I have a kid and give it to him (if it is a him ...  LOL)!

Healthwise,  I have my bad days as well as the good.  Some days I can get around with just my cane; on others, I need my crutches or my wheelchair/scooter (take yer pick).  Then you have fibromyalgia to add to the mix.  Some days I am hurtin' so bad it's all I can do to keep from screaming!!

I am still working at my store; up to four to six days a week.  If I can't do it because of my health, then the assistant boss,  Wilma, runs the show.  She is very dependable; I trust her to keep things movin' smoothly, which she does.  Wilma is an angel; I just feel so blessed that God brought her into my life!!

I also feel blessed that God brought Cordavious into my life.  He treats me like royalty; never yells or calls me stupid when I fall or drop things because of my MS flaring up; I just wish more people were as considerate as he is!!

You won't believe how many people get mad at me because "I hold up the line" (I'm not the world's fastest person, you know ... ), or because I get special privileges (like the handicapped sticker for my car or parking closest to a building 'cause it's raining or snowing ... ); some people go as far as thinking I'm FAKING my illnesses, which is the biggest crop of lies I've ever  heard in my LIFE!!  It's beyond ridiculous!!

I am off work today, so I slept in.  Wilma is going to be running the boutique while I sleep in.  :)  That feels nice!  I can go back to bed and snuggle up to Cordavious if I so choose (he's still sleeping) and don't wake up until noon!  LOL  *Sigh*  I love days off from work!!  :)

Cordavious works, but he's off today too.  So we have the whole day together!  :)

I just hope I can find a turkey if we go grocery shopping today ... 

Know that Thanksgiving is next Thursday (in just six more days!!!!  YIKES!!); turkeys will probably be pretty hard to come by ...

For Turkey Day,  we're going to spend it with Cordavious' family, where we can pop the news of our engagement to them.  Know that they will be thrilled; I know we are!! :D

Then next Friday ("Black Friday"), we will probably work; I know my store will be hummin' with activity as people come to get their hair done for the approaching Christmas holiday.  I will have to have Wilma or any of the other girls do my hair so I don't look like the back end of a horse for Christmas!  LOLOLOLOL

I have written my Christmas journal, which I will post online; then my friends can know what I have been up to.  I just hope I hear from some of them:  Louie Sandusky, for one.  I haven't heard from that gal in several months; I hope she (or her family) is (are) okay!  I know she's busy raising her village LOL, but it wouldn't hurt for her to drop me a line once in a while!

I have been thinking of her a lot lately.  I just hope she's been thinking of me, too!  :)

The weather here in Texas is rainy today.  Over the past several days, it's been stunning:  sunny with pristine blue skies, temps in the sixties and seventies; it's felt so good on my MS and fibro!  Now it's back to reality:  my fibro is singing high soprano, and I'm feeling weaker than a used tea bag:  I have no strength whatsoever!  (Sittin' in my electric scooter as I write this.  No walkin' for me today!)

So both my MS and fibromyalgia are rearin' their ugly selves today.  *Ughhh*  How I HATE it whenever they flare up!  Stupid flares!!

Well, I am going to go back to bed:  the thought of lying next to Cordavious on such a nasty day does sound invitin'!  I will write in here again soon; until next time, may you have a most joyous Christmas season, and happy Thanskgiving to you and yours!  I know I am thankful this year!  I have Cordavious Milsap in my life!  THAT'S reason enough to be thankful!!  :D
