Santa Claus takes pen in hand and writes his annual letter to the world's children.

North Pole Central, December 1, 2009~

Dear Precious Children  (and Children-At-Heart)~

Ho, ho, ho!!  It's your Christmas time pal, Santa Claus!  Yes, it's that time of year again; seems like it was only yesterday when I took pen to paper last.

I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you; I think of each and every one of you every day.  Tommy.  Billy Ray.  Esther.  Julie.  Johnathon.  Quinn.  Wallace and Hyman.  Ronee'.  Kaitlyn Ashley.  David.  Jodie.  Arjun.  Emir.  Opal.  Vijay.  Janica.  Teresita.  Miguel and Manuelito.  Jose'.  Tyler.  Abbigail.  Joseph.  Harleigh.  Reagan Laura, Johnathan, and Lindsay.  Copper.  Blaze.  Colton.  Eternity.  Nicholas.  Ethan Raymond.  Just so many of you, all over the world!!

You often wonder how I know where you live or keep your names straight.  Well, I'm Santa Claus; I know everything!  :)  I never forget a child!!  And that is my solemn promise:  to insure that each and every one of you get something from my sleigh; I don't want you to be sad on Christmas morning!  Nobody should be sad, especially on a day like Christmas!

I know you want some wonderful things.  I will see what I can do; my elves are very busy, making sure that what they create in my workshop is done in plenty of time.  I will see to it that every toy, every book, every CD or DVD or video game, every MP3 player is done to my specifications; otherwise, it doesn't leave until it's done right.

Even if you don't get what your little hearts desire, I pray and hope that you think of the thoughtfulness behind the gifts I brought to you.  I got them with you in mind, and I hope you enjoy what I will be bringing to you on Christmas Eve night!

There are some of you, however, who are struggling, and there's nothing ol' Santa would want more than to ease some of your sadness or pain.  Tommy,  I know you are having a hard time with your mommy and daddy's divorce.  I wish I could bring them back together, but as I have said before, I'm not God; only God can do that.

And as for you, Johnathon:  I wish I could ease your pain or your suffering on account of your muscular dystrophy.  I wish a cure could be found in your lifetime; that is one of my dearest wishes for you.  Yet you are a very brave boy with a courageous spirit, and every time I see you, I am always moved to tears.  You are an amazing young man who lives life to the full.  People can learn much from you!

You will be amazed with the new computer I am bringing to you.  Yes, I will have a new computer for you on my sleigh; it's not too heavy because I use Santa-Magic when I fly!  Bringing it to you shall be a snap; be prepared to be blown away come Christmas morning when I bring you your brand new computer!!

Ronee', I know you have your eye on a cell phone.  What teenaged girl woudn't want to have one??  I will do everything in my power to see that you get one.  You have been a blessing to people, and I think a smart, thoughtful, courteous young lady like  yourself deserves to be rewarded!  So be on the lookout for a cell phone amongst your Christmas/birthday packages come Christmas morning!

Wallace and Hyman:  I want nothing more than to bring your big sister, Nashi, back to life, but sweet boys, I am not able to do that.  You still can have her in your heart; she continues to live on in you.  She is not truly gone; she can be remembered in poetry, stories, or pictures, and I hope you know that she really does love you, even from Heaven!  She misses you both so much, and I wish I could wipe some of your tears away; I know you miss her too.

I'd also love to see your mother, Terri Ruth, smile again; I hate seeing her be so sad!  I wish I could bring happiness and hope to your mommy; she deserves to be happy, especially on Christmas!

Billy Ray, I am so happy you finally have a family that loves you!  You already have your Christmas present, but seeing I am Santa, I will be sure to bring you something extra special!  I am so happy for you!!

Reagan Laura, Lindsay, and Johnathan:  I will be bringing you that new Pomeranian puppy you wanted; "Jewels" will have a brand new playmate!

Colton:  I will be bringing you a brand new Martin banjo, complete with case.  That way, when you next play on the Grand Ole Opry, you will look like a true bluegrasser!  I will also throw in a brand new outfit; I want you to look good for your next Opry show!

Kata Danae', I will be bringing you a brand new fiddle to replace the one your little brother Casey sat on; I know you have been sad since that happened.  And like Colton Ramey, I will be bringing you a new stage outfit for when you play your first gig at the Grand Ole Opry next month!

Kata, please tell Casey I am not mad at him.  If that's the worst thing he does, then doing great!  He will be getting special treats from me, too!

Maybe I'll see if I can arrange fiddle lessons for him as well, along with a brand new fiddle and bow.  That way, he might not be so jealous of you!  LOL

And finally, Kaitlyn Ashley and David Patrick:  I will do everything in my power to ensure that the children stop teasing you.  I want them to see you as I do; you are both super kids, and you deserve to be happy and loved!  Don't ever let people tell you you can't do anything because of your handicaps because I know better:  you both can do great things if you just put your minds to it and try your best!!

Well, I hate to cut this short, but Donder, Blitzen, and Rudolph have escaped, and I have to find them before they get lost!  I think they may have gone to play with the northern lights again!  *sigh*  You've heard of the "deer-in-the-headlights" look?  Well, look!  Ever since they got a gander at the wonderful displays we've been having lately, seems all they want to do is play!  LOL

I will write again soon; until then, this is your friend, Santa Claus, saying so long!  God bless you and see you in a few weeks; please be good because I will be watching over you!!

~Love, your friend in the North Pole,  Santa Claus.  :) X0X0X0X0

Karen,

This. Is. PRECIOUS! Just hope no one hacks into Santa's computer and spreads the word to the recipients of his presents, or it will no longer be a surprise come Christmas morning! LOL! Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
