Wow!! 

It's snowing, it's snowing!!  I woke up just a while ago, and there were big, fat flakes of snow coming down from the sky!!

And with Christmas coming in just a few short weeks, winter is truly almost here!  Now I can dream of flying down the hill in my backyard on my Flexible Flyer sled!!

Playing in the snow is something I love doing, but, since I live in Burleson, Texas, going sledding (or playing in the snow) is something I really don't get to do all that much, not like kids up north.

Y'see, snow is rather rare here this far south.  We are more'n likely to get ice than snow; whenever it snows, it's always a big deal, especially if we get an inch.  We get an inch, and Burleson practically shuts down for the day!

And then the snow melts, and you're wondering, WHY?!?  LOL!

My name's Teddy.  I am ten years old.  I am not in school because I am homeschooled; my mama is my teacher, as is my daddy.  They are in bed, asleep; they were up late last night paying bills, so they're sleeping in.  Maybe I'll start my lessons by noontime if they're up; until then, all I can do is lie in my nice, warm bed and wait.

I have two sisters:  Snowflake Winter (6) and Autumn Rain (12); I'm the only one with a normal name.  I'm ten as I just said.  My whole name is Theodore Ezekiah, but nearly everyone calls me Teddy.  It's easier to say (let alone, spell!).

Besides going to "school" (we go on lots of field trips, like to the library, to the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth, which is just north of here, or to the Fort Worth Zoo), I love playing in the snow (sledding, skiing, and boogie boarding on my snowboard are the bomb!), singing, going to church, playing with my friends, watching television (we watch a lot of Qubo or PaxKids), and visiting the old folks at the old folks home.  I also love writing and reading; I'm a regular bookworm!  One of my very favorite hangouts is the Burleson Public Library:  I could get lost in there for HOURS!!!!  :)

In any event, winter is my very favorite time of year.  I have always been a snowbunny; mama teases me and says I should have been born in Alaska 'cause I love the cold/snow so much!  LOL  I just wish we could get more in the way of snow; seems like when it does snow, it never sticks 'round long enough for us to be able to enjoy it.  When it does snow here, it makes the news or the paper.

Well, I am going to go back to sleep 'til mama wakes me up so we can have our lessons for the day.  I will write in here again; until later, this is Teddy signing off!  

Going to dream about making snowmen and flying down the hill on my sled!  Pray we get a white Christmas; that's something I'd love to experience first hand!  Pray we get a BLIZZARD for Christmas; that'd be totally awesome!!
