What young Teeka Dashae' Daniels wants is her baby brother to come back to life for Christmas.

Teeka here.

I'm afraid my family and myself aren't doing much better since I last wrote a few months back.  We miss little JaVonte' more now than ever, especially since Christmas is almost upon us.

We can't look at the twinkling Christmas lights or hear the cheery Christmas music without thinking about Javonte'.  Javonte' loved Christmas more than any other time of the year:  it was his favorite holiday, and he always looked forward to the anticipation of opening gifts from Santa Claus come Christmas morning.

Another thing Javonte' loved was help decorate the Christmas tree.  Since he was the youngest, he always got elected to put the star on top of the Christmas tree.

I am trying to cope as best as I can, but I can't help it.  I still find myself crying at the least little thing, and I can't go by Javonte' 's room without breaking down into a new fresh torrent of tears.  My mother has taken up smoking and drinking, and daddy won't talk to anybody; he just sits there in his chair like a zombie.  As for my brothers and sisters who still survive, they act out in school, and some of them are failing all of their classes.

Who would have thought that a flu bug could kill my little brother????

If there's anything I want for Christmas, it's for God to bring Javonte' back to life!  I miss him so bad I can't stand it!!!!

Well, I've made myself cry yet again,so I am going to go; I can't see for all the tears falling from my eyes!  Take care and talk to you another time!

~Love, your friend in Galveston, Texas, Teeka Daniels.  :(  *tears!*

So sad, yet powerful...through the eyes of the innocent at heart, and the one suffering the most. Makes one stop and count their blessings...well done dear friend! Write on!
