Hi!  It's me, Rocket!!

I am doing well; I can't wait for Christmas to come, 'cause that will mean I will have two weeks off from school!!  The thought of sleeping in or doing anything I want sounds invitin'!!

We put our tree up; it looks nice with all the twinkling lights and decorations.  It reminds us littler kids that Santa Claus won't be long in coming.  While I know that "Santa Claus" is not real, it's still exciting to think about, and the little kids are trying their best to be good, which I appreciate.  (I stopped believing in Santa last year.)

Christmas is not about shopping so much:  it's more about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.  I'd rather think about that than all the presents (though new toys, clothes, etc. are nice)! 

I think it would be neat if mom or dad made a birthday cake for Jesus and we could sing to Him.  After all, it's His birthday we celebrate!

My family is doing well.  Mom and dad are still busy with their work, and we kids are trying to behave.  LOL  Sometimes, though, my older brothers Cosmo, Saturn, and Jupiter, as well as my older sister Tina (Neptune), like to pick on me, Aurora, and Aeric.  Then mom and dad have to tell us to stop before any blood is lost.  LOL

The weather here has been fairly nice.  Some days we have had rain, sometimes with even thunder and lightning.  I don't like the thunder and lightning; the lightning's too bright, and the thunder sounds like it's going to rip the house apart with its sound!

In the mountains, they've had heavy snow.  I'm glad we live here; I really don't do cold weather all that well!  It gets below 60 out, and I'm tellin' mom and dad to put the fireplace on!  LOL

I'm more of an eighty to ninety-degree guy myself.  It could be summer all year long, and I wouldn't mind it one bit!!  :)

Last night we went to look at Christmas lights.  My friends Quigley Paxton and Jamie Wilhoite (my best pal) joined us.  We had fun.  Afterwards, we went for hot chocolate and marshmallows.  It was yummy, and it warmed us up quick!  Sure does get cold here fast at night nowadays!

I never was so glad to get in front of the fireplace once dad got it going!!  :)

At church we've been practicing for our Pageant, which is on Sunday.  I think I've got all my lines memorized.  I'm playing the part of Frosty the Snowman.  Our play is called "Christmas Hangups".  I'm one of the stars of the play; my role is very important.  I've been working hard to get everything just right.  I hope we do well; say a prayer for me, and our play, 'kay??

Then the following Sunday, the grownups do their Cantata, which is a grownup version of a Christmas play, I guess, except there's more in the way of music.  Anyway,  they've been working/practicing hard, too.  I hope their Cantata goes well!

After the Cantata (that night), the church is throwing a Christmas party for the congregation (that's a big, fancy word for people who come to church).  That will mean plenty of food and sweets; I can't weit to get my teeth on some of those gingerbread or Christmas tree cookies!  They're my favorite!!  Yum!!  :P
