My dearest Jaden Michael~

How blessed I am to have you in my life!  Ever since you joined our family a year ago from Korea, our world has been nothing but joyful!  You are certainly special, in more ways than one, and I am honored to be your mamma!

When I look at you, Jaden, I see a little boy full of promise, hope, and joy!  I see the potential in whatever you do, and I can't help but think what a blessing you are!  I don't see the fact that you can't walk because of spina bifida; however, none of that has ever stopped you before!  Doesn't look like it's going to, either!  :)

Even though you use a wheelchair to get around, you still persue what you set your mind to.  I thought you were going to start dancing or leap out of your wheelchair on Christmas morning, when we got you that little Pomeranian puppy you wanted.  He sure took to you like gangbusters; you two have since become the best of pals!

You also loved the laptop computer, the new clothes, and the games for your Avatar game system; you were so happy you cried!  We were more than happy to get the gifts for you; you were a very good little boy this year!

Your ability to learn at such a rapid pace belies the fact that you have a serious physical handicap.  A good deal of people with spina bifida have learning difficulties.  Not you!  You are quite gifted for your seven years; your grades and excellent academic skills are proof of that!  Your grades don't need to tell us how well you are doing in school!  We are so proud of you, honey; keep up the awesome work!

Jaden, I just wish your earlier life had been easy, but God brought you to us for a reason.  You finally have the family you desired, and we are more than happy to have you here with us!  I'm just glad you've forgiven your parents for abandoning you, and I am glad you have accepted Christ as your saviour; your life is going to be better from now on because of it!  If people judge you because you are a Christian, then so be it.  Just keep on loving Christ, and live as He would want you to live; that's all that matters!

The day you accepted Christ was the happiest day of our lives!  We cried right along with you; that was the most important thing you cauld have ever done!  You have such a sweet spirit about you in all that you do, and you show Christ's love in all that you do or say.  For being in America for only a year, you have blossomed beyond our wildest expectations!

I know your sisters Kadence and Felicia love you, as do your brothers Parker, Giovanni, and Quenton.  We love you too; we're supposed to.  We're your parents!  You are our miracle child, and nothing or anyone is going to take you away from us.  Ever.  We love you more than the moon loves the stars!  We love you more than all the chocolate bars in the world!

Well, Jaden, I am going to go.  It's too early for me to be up, but I had to let you know how I feel about you.  I just hope you don't mind me using your new computer to type this down, but I want you to see just how much of a blessing you are.  May God continue to guide your steps, and keep on leaning on him on those days where life tests your every move.  Know He's in control and that He will never leave or abandon you!
