Dear Journal~

Hello!  It's me, your friend, Jenna Aurora!  How are you doing?  Hope this finds you all doing well!

I am doing well, all things considering.  I have my days where my paralyzed one side gives me issues, but I'm a lot better off than a lot of people; for that I can count my blessings!

Brrrr, it's cold here!  Only in the single digits here in Anchorage!  (Anyone have some warmth for sale??  LOL)  Yet I shouldn't let it bother me; after all, I AM part Native Alaskan!  LOL  At least I'm not in Barrow; up that way, it's in the minus teens and twenties for highs!!!!

Mattaq and Kenai are both growing so big; it's hard to believe that their baby days will soon be behind them!  They are walking, talking, laughing sturdy little boys; they remind me of me and Jerrica, my sister, when we were small!  Or baby polar bears!  LOL  They are both so cute!

Mattaq is learning his numbers and letters; he is a very smart little boy.  Pretty soon he will be reading!  I am working with him on that; I read to him (and to Kenai) every day.  Have done this ever since they were tiny infants; it is reported that reading to your children helps with brain development; I can see that this is true .

Kenai, meanwhile, loves throwing things, especially his toys.  It is a very annoying, bothersome habit, especially since I, his mother, don't have but one good working side, and being on a crutch, I'm not the fastest thing around!  I can't tell you how many times I've fallen over his toys!!

Landing on his toy trucks or cars doesn't feel good; I have more bruises on me than I can count!  Looks like Michael used me as his personal punching bag when he didn't do anything of the sort!!

Michael is looking for another job:  his place of employment is going to shut down.  He is very depressed, but I told him with his qualifications, he should find himself a new job in a relatively short time.  I told him to give this situation to God; God's help is always the best way, and He is never late on His promises to His children!

He has been with the company for over 10 years, so this will be hard for him, not going in to report to his job, working his shift, or earning a paycheck.  I told him to try for unemployment; this should help him for a little while once he is unemployed. 

I wish I could work, but with my disability issues, and also two small boys to take care of, that doesn't seem like a possibility to me.  At least I get a SSDI check every month, so we're not short on money, even when his place of employment does shut its doors.

Well, kids, I am going to go.  Only 2:31 in the morning here in Alaska; too early for me to be up!  If I want to be in good shape for church at 11 this morning, I need to get some needed sleep!  I will write in here again soon; until then, this is Jenna Aurora saying so long and God bless!  Talk to you later!
