I swear my cat is bi-polar:  one minute, he's all lovey-dovey; the next, he's bouncin' off the walls in a mad tear.  Or he's hissing his displeasure (which seems to be all the time as of late).

It seems that the problems started when I started seeing Jackie (not her real name).  Ever since I met Jackie and brought her to my house, "Gizfreak" (my cat) has shown a very strong dislike towards her.  Every time she comes over, he's on pointe, on all four paws, claws out, back arched, mouth wide open in an angry hiss:  you get the picture:  typical Hallowe'en-cat pose.

I don't know why he hates Jackie, but he does.  I don't get the connection.  She's not bad looking, as far as girls go; she is, in fact, kinda cute, in a girly-sort of way.  Yet whenever G.F. sees her, he acts like a crazed maniac. 

I know eventually I am going to have to break the news to Jackie about the cat, but I'm sure she must have figured this out by now:  how my cat hates her.  I know it might upset her because she seems to be a cat fan. 

Maybe she has a big dog that she isn't telling me about, and he smells "dog" on her?? ...

I wish I could convince "Gizfreak" that Jackie isn't a bad person, but with a cat, it isn't that simple.  Cats are very good at choosing who they like (or, in this case, don't like); they are very good at expressing their joy (or disdain).  They don't beat around the bush when it comes to expressing their emotions.

Maybe I could dump Jackie and start a relationship with "Gizfreak?" 

Naaah.  Ain't gonna happen.  Besides, "Giz" is a boy cat, and people might think that I am ... well, you know ...  a "fairy" nice person?? 

NOT going there! 

In the meantime, I am going to have to convince "Gizfreak" that Jackie is a part of my life, and like it or not, he is going to have to get used to it.  Or convince Jackie that my cat is bi-polar.  Whichever comes first.  LOL
