Howdy from Kentucky!

It's your little friend, Colton Blaze Ramey!  I am doing great! 

One reason is this:  I performed at the Kentucky Opry in Draffenville, and I did real good.  I performed in the "Beginner Instrumental" division, and I won my division!  That means I get to have a chance to advance to the semi-finals, and then possibly the finals! 

Mama and daddy were real proud of me!  I was proud of me, too!  :)

I did that last month; now I practice every day, so I can do good in the semi-finals, and hopefully make it to the finals!

I am still performing just about every weekend with my family.  We are all enjoying ourselves, but the real performance season starts up in the spring.  Lots of bluegrass festivals planned.  During a performance season we perform just about every weekend, sometimes as much as twice a week.  I always enjoy it; so does my family; we love singing and picking for the people who come to see us!

I also found out that we're going to Nashville again in June, for the Country Music Festival (Fan Fest).  We'll be there for four days; I will be signing autographs and meeting the people who stop by our booth.  This is the first time I have done something like this, and I am way excited!!  Maybe I'll meet some big and famous bluegrassers or other big and famous country singers like Loretta Lynn, Carrie Underwood, or Garth Brooks!  That would be too cool!!!!

I watched the Super Bowl last night at my church; the church had a Super Bowl Party.  I was having fun, but I was rooting for the Indianapolis Colts.  They lost to New Orleans; I was not happy at how the game went!  I was so upset, I cried, right there in front of God and everybody!  Mama had to comfort me.

I am going to go now.  I am at school as I write this, and we're fixin' to go out to recess.  I will write in here again soon; sorry this is so short!  Take care and God bless; this is your little bluegrass pal, Colton, saying bye!
