Snow has blanketed the east coast - in particular, the Washington DC area.  From last count, 30+ inches with more to come.

Snow is beautiful on the ground, but not on the roads. Last weekend the Richmond area reported over 500 accidents; and sad to say, some fatalities.

The fatality reports remind me of eternity.  It reminds me that eternity is real and we can not put off asking Jesus into our lives.  As reported recently, death comes suddenly.

From weather issues to earthquakes to financial disasters, the world needs to take heed of the events that are unfolding before our eyes. 

Our world is in chaos. From the financial downfall of the BIG banks, to the HUGE corporations closing their doors, life as we once knew it is quickly fading away. Political appointees (who are supposed to be the voice of the people) are falling at an incredible rate; no longer can they hide their sins from the world.  They try, but eventually their sins are SHOWCASED for all to see. 

Wars, earthquakes, fraud, deceit, theft etc. are destroying our nation.  Remember the song "God Bless America, land that I love. Stand beside her and guide her, though the night with the lights up above. etc."  How many can sing these words today from a heart of love?

We need to put GOD first again. Our nation was founded on IN GOD WE TRUST – look at your money!  We need the wisdom of GOD to guide our lives again.  When God is removed from his place of honor (first in our life), the devil finds our weak points. With great deception (as with Eve), he takes control of our thoughts and before we know it, we are making life decisions without seeking the wisdom of God.  And ... then we pay the consequences.

The snow is beautiful - it presents the nation as pure, hiding all the ugliness underneath.  If only we could bury the ugliness forever.

But we can do something - we can pray.  If our nation would gather in Jesus name and pray - God will listen. 

So today, take time to pray. Set your watch to 3 p.m. and when the alarm goes off, STOP and say a prayer to God, your ABBA FATHER, and thank him for all he has done and is doing in your life.  And if you are not sure of your eternal life, ask Jesus into your heart.

As we learned during the recent snow storm, life can be taken away in an instant. 
Take the challenge - tell your friends, let's unite for GOD and pray in the name of his precious son, Jesus.
