We have the world's most goofiest dog.
Consider some of the things he's done: bring home flat tires, tools, dead animals, leaves, even the lid off of a trash Dumpster! He then squirrels his "treasures" into his doghouse or even tries to bring them indoors!
We keep telling him, "No!", but he never listens! I swear "Pontificous" (or "Cus" for short when he's especially annoying) has some screws loose inside that tiny head of his!
"Pontificous" is a Pomeranian. A really dumb, goofy Pomeranian. Doesn't matter if he is only 7 pounds and all fur: he will tackle a dog twice its size (which has led to numerous trips to the doggie ER or to the vet so he could patch him up), items that are three times bigger than he is, or growl/bark like he is a full grown pitbull.
We have had "Pontificous" for three years. My mom got him as an anniversary present from dad. (Now you know where he got his dim wits from. Dad isn't the smartest card in the deck either, if you know what I mean. I think he picked up his "dumbness" from dad.)
We kids think he is great, as does dad; mom isn't so sure. She yells at him more than us at times; I swear either that dog is deaf/hard of hearing or has a one-track mind! Goes into one fuzzy puppy ear and out the other!
The only real thing that annoys us is when he rolls around in the garbage or tangles with a stunky skunk. Have had to give ol' "Ponty" the tomato bath cure; didn't work, as he still stunk like skunk. For four days we could smell "essence de pew"; when he got wet it was even worse! Oh, it was bad!!
I'm surprised the stunky skunk didn't bit him when he tangled with him; but one swift spray from the ol' stink glands ended that game in a hurry! Then you should have heard our dog: ARRR, ARRR, ARRR, and seeing him runnin' blindly around the yard, unable to see. We had to take stinky pup to the vet, so the vet could flush out his eyes with a saline salution. Then he could see, but he had some nice red, swollen eyes for about four days afterwards!
I swear "Pontificous" is going to put us into an early grave. He may look all cute and innocent with his adorable foxy face, fluffy, poofy hair, and tiny, erect, alert ears, but he's anything but. He's a pain with a capital P! A pain of a Pomeranian!!
Yet on the other hand, we can't imagine our world without him. He brings us much chaos, but he also brings us endless moments of joy! He is certainly one of a kind, let me tell you!
