G'day, mates!

Charles Quigley here.  Hope this finds y'all feelin' aces; I am doing well, and so is me sis, Meegin; no worries, but I do miss her so much!  She's back home in Darwin, Northwest Territories, Australia; she got home last month, and I miss her so bad!

Meegin is getting stronger every day; she's since returned to her job at the bank she works at; everyone is so happy to see her.  She is about recovered from her appendectomy surgery she had around Chrissie; she was in hospital for a month getting over it; she was a very sick chickadee!

I know Meegin is glad to be back home; she loved America, but she would have loved it more had she not fallen ill!

Never did make it to the Grand Ole Opry, poor thing.  Maybe next time she comes back she will go.  Maybe the Opry will honour the tickets she had, take a raincheck.  Hope so!  She dearly loves country music, especially Keith Urban (he is a good Aussie bloke, he is) and Loretta Lynn; those are probably her two favourites.

I am still working; however, there's a distinct rumour going around that the factory I am employed at might be laying off workers due to the shitty economy.  Hope not; I don't want to lose me job; worked there ten years!  I'd hate to look for another job; jobs are soo hard to come by in these bad economic times!

I am getting ready to start university; am thinking of trying to go for my bachelor's degree in business; would like to have me own car repair shop or maybe operate a store specialising in swim/dive gear; if the factory closes, I'd like to be doing something I really enjoy!

Probably will do that in summer here (back home in Sydney, 'tis fall; will be winter in June; seasons oppo than they are here in the States); anything's worth a go, ya know??

Meegin might come back in June; she would like to go to the Country Music Association's Fan Fest.  I told her tickets are hard to come by; she'd be lucky if she got one now, seeing it is going to be happeing in less than three months from now.  I keep trying to call 'em, but only get the busy signal or the "all ciruits are busy; please try again" recording; very annoying, that!  I will keep trying though, especially since she calls me every few days to see if I got tickets for the event!  LOL

She's bound and determined to go to this thing!

Well, hell, the phone just rang.  It's work; they are wanting me to come in early today.  So I must go and get ready; I will write in here again soon; if I don't maybe Meegin will.  I will talk to y'all again; until later, this is your mate saying so long!  Take care!
