March 17, 2010, Nashville, TN., 5:38 p.m., C.D.T. (St. Paddy's Day!)~

Dear Journal~

Erin go bragh!  'Tis me, your little leprechaun, Johnathon O'Sandusky, writing!  I'm having a wee bit of fun at the annual St. Paddy's Day Bash being held here in downtown Nashville; was hungry, so I am eating cabbage and corned beef; 'tis very yummy!!  :)

Just got done performing (okay, did sign language, but I performed to a song; I just didn't sing!); did good, because when I was done, the people clapped.  I guess that means they liked me.  (Or at least I'm hopin' they did!  :) )  Being under those stupid hot stage lights sure makes a body hungry!!

I'd love to have a nice, cold green beer right now, but I'm underage; no alcohol.  Plus I'm on medication; 'twouldn't be a good thing to mix booze and drugs, ya know??  :/  Unless I want to have my stomach pumped at the ER, I'd best stay clear of the beer if I know what's good for me (plus mommy and daddy would both wring my fool neck!!)!  LOL

I participated in the parade:  rode on the Christ Community Assembly of God float.  I was dressed as a leprechaun (naturally), but my face and hands are still green.  Put some paint on my face and hands, so I'd really look Irish, and I think I used the permanent stuff.  Still as green as a bowl of peas!!  Yikes!  I just hope it comes off before May and before we go to the Crawfish Festival in Louisiana and before the CMA Country Music Festival here in Nashville!  LOLOLOL

There are scads of people here (most of 'em are wearing green); never seen such greenery (and not just the trees)!  I'm pretty green myself, in more ways than one!  LOL 

I'm also waiting for Rebekkah Rachel and her family, as well as her aunt Louise Mason; they plan on coming, too.  It will be good to see them; I called her on my cell and told her we were at the Irish thing being held in downtown.  They said they'd meet us there.  I just should have waited later to eat, but it was time for me to take my afternoon round of meds, so I had no choice but to eat (the pills I take I have to take after eating; if I don't do that, I can get very sick!).

The weather has been fantastic, albeit a bit chilly.  Still, nothing that some good Irish music, food, or fun can't take care of!  I'm bundled up like sixty; I look like I'm about to go on a cruise to Alaska!  LOL  Mittens, hat, heavy coat, thick warm sweater, heavy jeans, my mukluks:  I'm ready for the cold!  LOLOLOL
