If you try to write episodic television, the conventional wisdom is that you have to write at least THREE spec scripts for existing shows, as 'calling cards' or 'demos' for OTHER shows...because the shows you actually WROTE the scripts for won't accept Spec Scripts. Sound crazy? It does to me...which is why I wrote VOODOO HIGHWAY, noone says you can't write Spec Scripts for your OWN show.
For a lark, I decided to write a spec episode of NYPD BLUE...I never fleshed it all the way out, so it's obviously incomplete and sketchy but you can still visualize the story and have fun with it.
This takes place in a parallel universe where Bobby Simone is still alive, and God takes a bit more of a 'hands-on' approach...
