Dear Journal~

Pastor Bruce Bilkey here.  Hope this finds you all well and happy, considering what has happened yesterday ...  I have been on my face in prayer just about all night long, as I couldn't sleep; too much on my mind.

I am talking, of course, about the landmark decision by the House to approve Obamacare.  While this may seem like a good plan to some, I, as well as countless others, seem to think otherwise.  He is forcing people to buy healthcare; if they don't there are going to be consequences.  A lot of people have protested this, and over 30 states have contested to sue the Federal Government if the bill passes. Now these states have their work cut out for them, and there are a lot of angry (or upset) people in our nation this morning.

I have never supported anything the current administration does; even the day when Obama took office and said "children are our future", then went ahead and signed the abortion bill, I knew we were in trouble.  Now it seems our troubles have only gotten worse. ...  Now seems to be the last straw:  the people voiced their displeasure about this bill, and yet the governement failed to listen to our cries ...  they signed the bill anyway, behind our backs, without our knowing about it ...

Even in the midst of all of this, God is there.  He knows what is best, even though we don't; all we have to do is pray like we have never prayed before, pray that the decision is repealed somehow, and pray that the people wake up, rise up, and say:  "No MORE!!  Enough is enough!" and to make their voices heard!

I know I will be there in the protests that are bound to follow this decision.  Something has got to be done!!

Even though things look very bad now, it is time we band together and show our displeasure.  I don't know if the government will listen to us "little people", but if enough people get involved by writing their congressmen (or women) and get the word out about what has taken place (or will take place in the future), maybe, somehow, some way, these "big people" will finally realize that what they are doing is only going to lead to our downfall (as if we aren't already headed in that general direction now ...).

It is high time we put God in the center of our lives, and in this situation and let Him take control, as only He can.  I talked about this very thing last night at church, as well as during the morning services, and many people are spending extra time delving into the Word and in deep-seated prayer time.  Now it seems we need to up the ante and pray like we have never prayed before!  Our nation needs a wake up call and a spiritual revival!!

Well, I am going to go now; the phone is ringing, plus I am crying again; it is hard to see what I am trying to type down.  I will write in here again; be praying for Americans and our nation; we could really use a miracle from God above!  God bless you and all I can say right now is God, please have mercy upon our land and let us learn to trust fully and completely in You, even in these scary, uncertain times!
