Dear Journal~

Life couldn't be any better (or sweeter) than it is right now ...

I have a girlfriend whom I have the hots for:  every time I look at her, my heart goes "sproing!", and I can't wait to have her in my arms!  :)  Rebekkah Cohen and I have been "an item" for about a year now, and I am very much in looooooooooove!

For a while, I didn't think I'd find anybody:  I mean, who would honestly hook up with a guy who can't walk and is in a wheelchair?  Yet she saw past that, and she saw me for what I really am:  a human being with dreams and hopes; I was just like anyone else to her (and I am!).  I saw her, and I fell in love with her silken brown hair, her smile, her eyes .... I could get lost in those big, brown eyes ...  *sighhhh*

She also believed in Jesus, just like me; that was another thing that attracted me to her.  She might be Jewish, but she believes in salvation, and she goes to our church and celebrates Christian holidays; she's what is known as a Messianic Jew.  She goes to both temple and to a regular church.  She celebrates both Christian and Jewish holidays, and Rebekkah has given me a sense of appreciation for her culture/background.

I only hope she can show as much of a sense of appreciation for mine, which she does.

Like me, Rebekkah has been "through the mill", when it comes to medical situations.  She has had both her legs removed because she has a rare condition that inhibits her ability to feel pain; she's also had surgery on her lungs and has been in and out of the hospital more times than I can count.  There have been several times where I thought she was gonna die, but somehow, God brought her through it, and she's come back, stronger and more determined than ever. 

Rebekkah is funny:  she loves to make me laugh, and it seems that lately she and I are just about always together.  I see her after she gets home from her courses at the local college (yeah, I'm dating a college girl! :) ), and I go to her house (or she comes to mine) several days (nights) a week.  We love being together; we love cuddling in each other's arms, kissing one another, looking into each other's eyes, talking about life, or about our faith, or what's going on.  She's a great listener, and she has such a sweet spirit about her that I find charming.

My family adores Rebekkah almost as much as me.  Her family is just about as varied, as crazy, as mine.  :)

I can see marriage in our future.  I just hope God allows me to live that long; I'd love to have a family with her.  I can see her as my wife.  Oh, yes, indeed!  That's how much I feel about her; the love we have for one another has only intensified, and I pray that God allows us to have many happy years together!

Well, Rebekkah is coming over tonight; she said she'd help me with my history project.  I will write in here again soon; until later, this is Johnathon saying so long and God bless!  I can't wait to see my honey buns!  :)
