Louisiana is frustrated: her computer crashed yesterday and she is having to borrow her husband's so she can write in her journal, and the kids are driving her crazy.

Saturday, April 10, 2010, Nashville, TN., 10:24 a.m., D.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

Louie here.  A very annoyed, frustrated Louie.  I hope this finds y'all better than I am doing right now.

For starters, I was working on the manuscript of my newest book I am writing, and my computer (my main one in my room) decided to crash.  I was hummin' along, writing, when the screen went white, then black; when I tried to reboot the computer, nothing happened.  Knew something had gone wrong, and I had to quickly get the disk with my manucript out of there before that was lost too.  So now I am without a computer; am writing this on Bill's laptop until I can get mine repaired.

My computer is the one where I do all my e-mails, my adoption work, and so forth; now I have to use my husband's until we can get it fixed; no telling how long that will take.  Very frustrating!

Or maybe it is time I get a new computer; been several years since we'd gotten it; guess it was time for it to give up the ghost ... or maybe some dangfool virus got into it!  Don't know what happened!

The kids are not helping.  They keep interrupting me when I am seeking some quiet time.  I know they need me, as I am their mother, but still ...  I need a break from them!  It is at times like this when I wish we didn't adopt so many; guess I got what I deserved.  I wanted a family, and my husband tried his best to help make that wish come true .  Boy, did it ever come true , in more ways than one!  LOL

If it is not asking me to help them with their homework or fixing boo-boos or making sure they have everything before they go to school, to their games, or to church, et. al., then it's making sure they have their instruments or music when we go to perform or when they go to their music/voice lessons or making sure they take their medications when they are supposed to.  *Sigh*

A mother's work is never done, particularly mine!  Seems I am on the go, go, go constantly; it's a miracle if I get more than six hours of sleep per night!  It's no wonder I'm so dangblasted tired all of the time!!

I just hope I can get crackin' on my manuscript of my new book before the deadline; that's in July.  Only three months to go.  Not that much time; it sure goes quickly when one is least expecting it!

Not to mention, getting ready for Louisiana in three weeks:  in three weeks we are going to the Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge, and that always takes some planning, not to mention, some major packing, before we hit the road.  Then you're talking some serious travel time and expenses; the food and gas prices sure play havoc with our wallot; by the time we get back home to Tennessee, our wallets are whimpering, begging for mercy!

Maybe a trip to Louisiana for the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival is exactly what I (we) need!  Life has suddenly gotten very crazy for me right now, and I am about to pull my hair out in sheer frustration!

Well, I am going to go:  Arjun and Vijay are calling me; sounds like they are going to klll one another; they've been fighting all morning; frankly, I am getting sick and tired of their bickering!  Take care and God bless; pray we get a new computer soon, and pray I don't end up strangling one of my kids!  I'd greatly appreciate it!  Also pray we get some extra finances; we are going to need them when we go to Louisiana in less than a month!  Thanks in advance!

Love, your (frustrated) friend in Tennessee, Louisiana May.  :(

Sounds to me to be a very typical problem with kids and a family and trying to meet a deadline and... Bam! Like Murphy says -- one of Murphy's many laws, don't you know -- As Murphy says: "When you have the least time and are under the most stress, bam, there goes the computer." Well, maybe he didn't say it in those exact words, but you know what Murphy meant.

Our computer problems inspire these frustrated lines? I think they had a hand in it ... LOL! Hopefully, we'll get ours fixed soon. If not ... well done, in any event.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
