Dear Journal~

Yoiks!  I can't believe I haven't written in here in, like, four months!  Seems last time I wrote, I was gushin' about what I got for Christmas; now it's spring, and school will be letting out next month!  Where did all the time go??

Sage here.  I hope this finds y'all well and happy.  I know I am doing well:  school, life in general, can't be any better than it is right now; I am indeed blessed!  There are, however, people in parts of the country who are struggling to pick up the pieces, like with the floods in Tennsessee and Kentucky (wonder how my friends there are doing ...  I pray they are okay ...), and the tornadoes that hit Arkansas, Alabama, and Mississippi ... so much tragedy, so much heartbreak!  I'm just glad I don't live in that part of the country; it's during times like this when I'm glad I'm living where I am!

I hope that doesn't sound mean, but I am glad to be in Colorado!  :)

I just hope nothing like that happens here; that'd be too horrible to even think about!!

I still have my pug, "Smedley".  He's gotten even cuter (if that were possible!), not to mention, a lot fatter.  He looks like a sausage with legs:  he is absolutely adorable!  LOL

I am also still writing to my Aussie penfriend, Camie Singleton!  Oh, oh, oh!!  Speaking of, I am going to go to Australia this summer!!  I have been able to keep my grades up, so Uncle Fenton and Aunt Reba are sending me to Australia for two weeks; I go in August.  It is gonna be so.  Freakin'.  AWESOME!!!!  I have always wanted to go to "The Land Down Under" ever since I was a little kid; now in a few months, my dream is going to come true !! I canNOT wait!!!!

In fact, yesterday evening, Camie called me, all the way from "Oz"; it was sooo cool hearing her voice for the first time!  She has the coolest accent!  I loved hearing her speak!  I told her about my coming there in August, and she's like, "WAY BONZER!"  (Their way of saying, "This totally ROCKS!!")  She is as excited as I am!!

Of course, I wanted to talk all evening, but Aunt Reba said no.  It costs a lot of money, she said, so I had to limit my call to five minutes.  Oh, how I hated for the call to end; I really enjoyed talking to my penpal!!

Today, when I go to school, I and a bunch of students who are Christian plan on gathering around the flagpole and pray for our nation:  we need prayer now more than ever.  I was all for Obama at first, but now I think he's been making too many mistakes; I no longer trust him.  He's doing so much to try to destroy this country, and he's not supporting the National Day of Prayer, which I think is nothing but wrong, wrong, wrong!!

I think when I am old enough to vote, I will consider myself to be a Republican.  I no longer have the Democratic leanings like I did when I first heard about Obama and supported him at the start.

Well, I will be old enough to vote this year; it's just too bad I have to wait two more years for the next presidential election!!  :/

The weather here in Denver feels more like winter than spring, but I know it's spring here 'cause the trees and flowers have busted out in bloom.  I just wish the temperatures would warm up; we've had a long, cold, hard winter here, and I am more than ready for some springtime temperatures!

Well, sorry gang, but I gotta go:  have to get ready for school, get my books/assignments together, eat my breakfast, and walk to the bus stop, so I don't miss the bus.  I will write in here again soon; hopefully I won't wait several months to do so!  I am really bad about that!  Forgive me??  Anyway, take care and God bless; this is your friend, Sage, signing off!

P.S.:  The picture?  Well, there were these two crazy birds in my yard who were acting weird:  poofing themselves up and screeching at the top of their little birdie throats:  it sounded like they were trying to rupture their roodles or something!  It was hilarious, so I hadda take a piccy!  LOL
