Reagan Patterson here.  I'm afraid I'm not doing too well at the moment:  my mind is shot, and I'm so tired I can hardly stand it!!

We've had round after round of severe weather it seems, and I'm more than ready for sunshine or dry weather!!  We had tornadoes here (not so much in Hope, but all around us!), and even some flooding (again, not so much here, but around us).  I am so tired of hearing those durn weather sirens sing their sirensong; I'm more than ready to shove a cork in 'em so they can shut up!!

Poor ma and pa are as tired as I am; as for Johnathan and Lindsay (my little brother and sister), they're not happy about the near-pounding thunder and bright, blinding lightning either.  We've been living in our storm shelter; I miss my bed and my things! 

I just saw the weather forecast for Hope on the computer (I have my laptop; I take it everywhere I go), and today's supposed to be nice; however, tonight through Sunday:  more chances of rain.  *Sigggh*  I hope we don't get any more bad weather; I'm all bad-weathered out!!  :(  I went to www.noaa.gov to get the forecast for Hope. 

I'm at school as I write this:  some of my friends say I look "like something the cat dragged in".  I told 'em, "Lack of sleep due to the bad weather we've had lately".  I think tonight when I get home I am going to take a nap for a couple of hours; maybe that will help me feel a little bit better!

Reaux Delahoussaye, my friend, survived the storms as we did, but her house got damaged by the last round of tornadoes we had.  She's now staying with an aunt until her house can be repaired.  The only time I see her now is at school.  She's as fed up with the bad weather as I am, and she's worried about her house; she wants to go back home.  (Luckily she and her family made it through the tornadoes okay; however, their house didn't.)

Her aunt lives in nearby Searcy.

School is going well, but like the weather, I'm ready for it to end.  I am ready for lazing the days away at the pool or hanging out with my friends instead of sitting in a hot, stuffy classroom all day long!

If this bad weather doesn't end soon, I'm gonna beg the family to move to Alaska; the only storms they have there are magnetic:  i.e., the northern lights! 

Well, class is fixin' to start, so I'd best go for now.  I will write in here again soon; until then, this is Reagan L. Patterson saying so long; pray that the weather doesn't get too nasty the next few days!  Take care and God bless!
