Jennifer Kaylin Steele here.  I know it's been a very long time in writing; please do forgive me. 

We are doing well:  "we" being myself, my fiance' Chuck Grayson (yes, we are getting married later this year!!), and my son, Ant'won, who is the joy of our lives.  Ma and pa are doing pretty good for an old couple LOL; really can't complain about anything, really.  Life is good for us; we thank God every day for it!

Recently our city had some severe flooding:  12 people were killed, and lots of homes/businesses (including the Grand Ole Opry House) were damaged or destroyed; people are now starting to pick up the pieces.  We didn't have too much in the way of flooding where we were at; however, we did have some (carpet and floor damage mainly; several inches of the Cumberland River decided to come visit us!  LOL), and we had no power for a week; so the food we had was spoiled.  We had to spend at least a week in a Red Cross shelter; it was not fun!!

Now, as I write this, we are expecting more in the rain gauge (including the possibility of severe thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow), with highs in the eighties.  If there is one thing we do *NOT* need, it's more rain or more in the way of severe weather!  We are still cleaning up from the last deluge we had on May 1 and 2!  I am more than ready for this pattern to break, and I am more than ready for some drier weather and/or ample sunshine!!

I haven't talked to Terri Leroi since we parted ways, but I have seen her several times.  She has a new partner:  Wendy Howter.  It kills me to think that she still embraces the lesbian lifestyle; I have since given that up, and find life rich with much more meaning and satisfaction.  Life is worth living now, and now that I have Christ in my life, I feel like I'm finally free after years of confusion and living in sin.

I don't hate Terri; I just hate the way she is living.  I love the person, but I hate the sin.  I just thought I'd clarify that a little.  :)

I love Terri still as a friend, but I can no longer follow the path she chooses.  I have a son, and I have a soon-to-be husband who treats me like a queen.  I also have a church home (now temporarily displaced; our church home got destroyed by the flooding, so we will be having services in an empty warehouse until our church building can be fixed and repaired), and church is very, very important to all of us.

Healthwise, I am doing okay; still have issues with weight (it would help if I owuld just lay off the pasta and carbs!  LOLOLOL), and I still have issues with muscle pain in my shoulders, neck, upper back, and wrists; think I might have fibro.  Am seeing my doctor next week to see if this is the case; if so, hopefully he can give me something to alleviate the pain.  It's no fun being in severe pain 24 hours a day!

Well, that's about all that is new with me.  I will write in here again soon; hopefully I won't wait so long to write in my journal!  I've really gotten lax in my writing; I need to do a lot better than I have been lately!  Until then, this is Jennifer Steele saying so long and God bless!  Take care!

P.S.:  Chuck and I are shooting for November, in terms of the date of our wedding.  Hard to believe it's only six months away!  *Eep!*  It's coming up fast!!
