Jecca Tyler's my name.  I am fourteen years old.  I live in New York City, New York, with my family, which consists of my mom, my dad, my little brother Tyree, and my baby sister, Kensie Amber.  In fact, it was Kensie who gave me my nickname:  she can't say "Jessica" (my real first name), so the nickname of Jecca stuck.  All of my family (and most of my friends) call me Jecca; it's what I go by.

I used to live in Nyack, New York, but my dad (who is a building contractor) got transferred here to the City three years ago; now I live in New York City.  At first I hated it (too big, too crazy for my liking), but once I got used to the "bigness" of it and started going to see some of the attractions (Fifth Avenue [where all the hot, happenin' stores are!], Broadway, Central Park, Little Italy, China Town, Rockefeller Center, etc.), I've since come to learn to love NYC.

Nyack is a lot smaller than New York City, not to mention, a lot less crowded, too!

I will be ending my career as a ninth grader in just a few short weeks:  can't wait; I am looking forward to spending a summer veggin' out in front of the flat-screen television in our livingroom, hangin' out with my friends, maybe taking in some more Broadway shows that I haven't seen yet, or even going ice skating!  Yes, you heard right:  ice skating, right near the start of summer!  It's the coolest!!  (Literally!  LOL  Sorry; couldn't resist!)

I haven't seen any celebrities yet, but give it time:  celebs are always coming to New York City; no telling who I might see while out!  To think of possibly seeing people like Tom Cruise, Jennifer Lopez, Jon Bon Jovi, the Today show cast, or maybe even Chris Brown is exciting!!  (Note to self:  don't forget to bring my camera next time I go out somewhere!)

I love to go shopping, talk on the phone and have a real gabfest, see the sights of NYC, watch television or go to movies, hanging out with my friends, rollerblading, playing with our Wii game system, and reading; I read mainly teen romance or vampire-themed novels; that's another thing I love:  horror movies!  :)

Some people think I am a witch because I dress in black all the time (even in summer, which can get mighty uncomfortable, but hey, it's my life!  LOL), but nothing could be further from the truth.  I am a normal teenaged girl who just happens to like dark books or horror movies!  LOL  (My family doesn't approve of my horror habit, but I'm not thinkin' of joining a coven or a cult or anything like that! It just happens to be that vampires and all things horror are big with teens right now, so I'm right in the thick of the action!)

When I grow to be an adult, I would like to be a writer of teen books (horror or vampire stuff mainly; maybe I'll even do some novels about teen issues pressing kids today), or maybe a psychoanalyst.  I think that would be cool to figure out why people act the way they do and help them with their problems.

Well, mom wants me to watch Tyree and Kensie while she and dad cook dinner, so I will go now. I will write in here again soon; until then, this is Jecca Tyler saying so long!  I'm outta here!
