Jenna Aurora Doucet updates us on what is new with her family. She has found out that she is pregnant with a girl.

Fairbanks, Alaska, June 18, 2010~

Dear Journal~

Jenna Aurora Doucet writing.  I hope this finds y'all in fine health; as for me, I'm getting bigger all the time!  I am now seven months pregnant, and I feel like a beached whale!  LOL  Having to use my wheelchair exclusively now:  it's just too danged hard for me to get aroune easily (and I already have more than enough trouble without using it!  LOL).

I am having a girl.  She will be child #3.  I already have two fine strapping boys:  Kenai and Mattaq.  Now in just two months, little Bella Michaela will join the ranks.  So far, everything is going well with my pregnancy:  the only problem I am facing is I am big.  Very big.  LOL  I can't wait until she is born; it's getting harder and harder to do things because my stomach is so gargantuan!

Kenai isn't so sure about becoming a big brother, but Mattaq is all for it.  He is looking forward to having a little sister.  He asks me every day if "today is the day"; I or his father will tell him: "Not yet, son, not yet".  He is getting to be so impatient!  LOL

Healthwise, I haven't had any real problems, other than getting around.  Having one good working side just takes so long to be able to accomplish many things; even writing in my journal like this takes time.  It will take me a good hour, hour and a half, before I get this done because I have to use the "hunt-and-peck" method when I type.  It's really a pain!

Michael is still busy working and playing Mr. Dad with the boys.  I am too big to manage; Dr. Kilpatrick, my obstetrician, has banished me to the bed.  He doesn't want me falling.  It could do a lot of damage if I fell the wrong way, so for now, in bed I will stay.  *Sigh*  All I can do is play card games, pay bills online (or write in my journal), and wait for Bella's arrival.

The kitties are doing well too, but I don't know what we are going to do when Bella arrives.  I guess Jerrica, my sister, will have to keep them until Bella is a little older.  Somehow kittens around newborn babies make me nervous; you don't know what they are capable of doing.  Speaking of Jerrica, she's all recovered from her broken back, but it's left her with stiffness/pain, so she doesn't move around as fast as she used to.  Still, she's better, so that's all that matters.

The weather here in the Far North has warmed up considerably:  temps in the seventies and eighties some days, which is a little too warm for me.  Oh, well, at least we don't have locusts, as Michael likes to say!  LOL  The northern lights have been busy, and with more sunspots possible later this year on the sun, it may very well be a very active auroral season.  We see the lights just about every night it is clear.  Northern lights are the norm here in Alaska, especially during the spring and fall months of the year (though they can occur anytime).

Well, I have to go, so I will stop writing for now.  I am suddenly getting very sleepy.  Being in bed all of the time doesn't help.  I will write again soon; until later, this is Jenna Aurora saying so long!  Take care and God bless; pray that Bella Michaela arrives safe and sound, without any problems!  I would greatly appreciate it, as would Michael!  Thanks in advance!

~Love, your Alaskan friend, Jenna Aurora.  :)
