Hullo, hullo, hullo!  It's me, Erin-Leigh Hallaran, from Provo, Utah!

How are you doing?  I hope and pray all is well with you all!

I am doing:  still fighting with Hayleigh Rene', my older sister:  no matter how hard I try, we just cannot seem to get along with one another!  She thinks she is God's gift to mankind, and because she's older than me (by two years), she thinks she can lord it over me.  I can't stand that!!  We are about to drive our parents crazy: they are always threatening to bump our heads together to stop the fighting!

I'm also dealing with acne:  seems I've turned into an acne farm.  My face is all covered with gross pimples, and I think I look like a monster.  Ma tells me not to worry:  it's a normal part of teenagerhood.  I tell her I'm only 12; still have a little less than a year to go before I officially turn into a teenager!  Ma also says she had bad acne as a kid; I seem to have taken after her. 

Wonderful.  Until then, I look like a pizza!  :/

I am embarrassed to show my face in public!  I know kids will make fun of me when school starts back up in September!  :(

Since seeing Loretta Lynn last year, I haven't been to any concerts, but next month, David Archuleta, who was the runner up on "American Idol" last year (or was it two years ago??), is coming to Salt Lake City to perform, and I am hoping that ma can snag us some tickets!  I absolutely think he is gorgeous, and he sings nice, too!  (David Archuleta is from nearby Murray, but he was born in Florida; he came to Utah when he was small.)

I like some other music, but country (especially Loretta Lynn!) is my main interest.

I just wish I could send Hayleigh to Alaska, to live with the polar bears ...

It doesn't help that she is pimple-free while my face looks like hell.  (Oops!  I just said the H word; I pray and hope ma or pa doesn't see that, or I'll get grounded for swearing!)

ANYway, I got to perform on July Fourth for our city's annual Fourth of July celebration; I sang five Loretta Lynn songs, and I must have done a good job because after I got done singing, the people clapped.  So I was happy.  And I got to see some pretty amazing fireworks, too, to close out the day.  It was fun; the only thing was that I got sunburnt.  I looked like a boiled lobster!  :/

I have been swimming a lot and hanging out with Jessie Simpson and Gaynor Charles, my two best friends, all summer.  I have had a great summer so far, but now I have acne, and I am worried that either Jessie or Gaynor will say something about my face or hurt my feelings.  If they are truly my friends, they won't say anything, but I can't help but worry about that.  I hate my pimpled-up face!  I look like a freak!!

Well, I've managed to make myself depressed, so I will go now.  Besides, it's only 5 a.m. here in Utah, and that is waaaaaaaaay too early for me to be up anyway, so I'm going back to bed.  Good night!  God bless and pray my pimples go away soon; I'd greatly appreciate it!  Thanks!
