It happened again. 

Today in the mail, I got a letter from an anonymous person.  This time the letter was in a pretty lavander envelope.  When I opened it, I was startled to find that, along with the letter, there was $200.00 enclosed. 

This is what the letter said:

"Dear Special Someone:

You have been on my mind yet again today.  Know you are struggling with bills and trying to raise your boys, so I figured I'd send you this to make things easier on you.  I know you don't know me from Adam, but that's okay.  Saw your name on a prayer list on the Internet; a friend told me about your situation, and I felt led to help you in some way.  Hope you don't mind, but I'm praying for you and your needs.  Consider this a blessing from God.  He loves you and so do I. 

(((HUGS))), Anonymous, Mansfield, OH."

At the sight of the money, I began to cry.  I knew it came at the right time; somehow it always does, when I least expect it.  This time the money will go for our car's air conditioning unit, which conked out a few days ago.  With these hot, sweltering Okahoma summers, air conditioning is as necessary as air to breathe or water to drink.

This isn't the first time I've gotten a letter from this lady in Ohio.  Last month, she wrote to me and sent me $350.00.  Tried to find out who sent it, who she is, but no luck.  The money went for food for the boys and myself.  I usually have more month than money.  After bills, there isn't much left over for necessities, and forget about luxuries.  It went to food and some over-the-counter medicine for Tyree', the youngest, who had a raging ear infection.

I am happy to say Tyree' is doing much better, thanks to the pills, but he still has to take them until they're all gone.  Took him to a free clinic; Tyree's exam was free, but the pills were not, but got them at a discount.  The doctoror wants to see him later this week, to see how he's doing. 

As for my other son, Kajuan, he is growing like a weed.  At the age of six, he's as tall as a nine-year-old, and there's the liklihood that he will be pushing 7 feet tall by the time he reaches the age of eighteen.  It is hard to keep him in clothes because he is growing so rapidly.

I am a single parent.  Husband left three years ago, when Tyree' was just a baby because "he couldn't handle the fact that his baby boy was born with Down syndrome and was mentally disabled."  Tyree' is doing great other than his heart problems or his ongoing ear infections which never seem to clear up.  As soon as he gets over one, there's another one close on its heels.

Unemployed at the moment.  Lost my job six months ago, been rasing my boys only by the Grace of God.  Although at times, I want to curse Him, I try to stay positive.

But it's hard, Lord, it's hard.  Tired.  You know?

Do have an interview next week.  Say a prayer for me, we could use the income!  And the place has GREAT benefits, something we all need! 

In addition to the ear issue, Tyree' is facing his third heart surgery; this one is to close off a leaky valve.  If it doesn't get fixed right away, there could be potential problems.  He has to go to the doctor's at the free clinic a lot more often than his older brother.

If it were not for Medicaid, I could not have my boys see a doctor and/or get the care they so desperately need!

I do get SSDI disability income for Tyree' because of his disabilities, so that means more money, but once you have the bills (car payment, maintence, gas, license, inspection sticker, etc.), utilities, mortage, there's very little left.  We usually end up living on $20.00 or less ... and that's before the first week of the new month is over with!

So this extra money couldn't have come at a better time.  It may be nice, but it goes much faster than we'd like.  We don't get to do things beause of the bills, but the bills come first, as do my boys, and if they need things, I will do everything under my power to make sure they have what they need in life!

I just hope that I can do something one day to repay this woman in Ohio.  She has blessed me, encouraged me, and lifted me up when I thought I couldn't go on, and she's been a driving force in the change in my attitude.  All of a sudden, I find reason to praise God, even in the little things, or praise Him in times of trouble/heartbreak.  He's that kind of God:  He makes sure we don't go without, and even if it may be worrisome, He's never, ever late with His promises to His children!

The letter (and the money) is proof of that!  I just thank God for my angel-lady, as I have come to call this blessing who lives in Ohio.  May God bless her as much as she's been a blessing to me!  And Lord, if it be Your Will, let me find out who she is so I can repay her in some way.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.  :)
